Political ads are a genre of film unto themselves and that’s not hyperbole. The best among them are mini masterpieces. This ad is a contender. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who ran unopposed in November, 2020 is not going to like this. Greene won’t like running for office anyhow. There’s a difference between running and walking in unopposed. She’s about to find out what the difference is.

There are some congressional and senatorial races which are going to be totally lit. This one, obviously. Boebert in Colorado is another. I haven’t a clue what will happen with Matt Gaetz. I daresay he doesn’t either. Madison Cawthorn is another. On the Senate side, the biggest farce will be Lisa Murkowski’s primary against possibly Sarah Palin and definitely religious hearer-of-voices Kelly Tshibaka.
2022 looks to be a watershed year in politics. It may wash some of the crazies out to sea and maybe the Republican party will find some semblance of balance. I can’t see how it can continue to barrel ahead with the kind of freak show people they’ve got on board. Or, maybe political circus is here to stay. We’re going to find out.
Ursula, I suspect the Repugnican party will indeed barrel ahead with the freakshow, because they aim to so rig the votes in 2022 (and 2024) that they could run dog turds and still win.

The beauty of these ads is, they don’t have to exaggerate. All they do is show actual footage and it speaks for itself.
I still marvel that defending the insurrection is something the MAGAs and GOP think is a good idea.
There are a lot of Rs who will vote. We have to do a really good job of getting out all the D voters possible.

Still, I have said it many times: the ads for the Democratic candidates just write themselves.
