That would be Rep. Mike Collins, Trump’s choice, going up against Senator Jon Ossoff (who is wiping the floor with Collins in terms of fundraising). The fundraising is not even close to a “fair fight”. But then, Ossoff was smart and started fundraising at the end of last year. Collins is falling behind in both fundraising and the polls. Ossoff is also not running all-attack ads. Yes, there is much glee here.
A while back, during one of the debates, Collins was asked about his son-in-law, who is a pro-white, antisemitic, Nazi-imagery influencer, who happens to live on some of Collins’ property. Collins repeatedly tried to sidestep the question, even when pressed by Ossoff. As a matter of fact, he got flustered and angry. Score one for Ossoff.
Now additional information has come out about Collins, and it’s just as ugly. This needs a list, but you will not be subjected to that. It’s a few highlights, thanks to Raw Story:
CNN’s KFile found an August 2021 tweet during the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal where Collins shared an image that purported to show the Taliban hanging someone from a helicopter and suggested U.S. leaders deserved the same fate. Weeks earlier, on the conservative radio program “Sandy Rios in the Morning,” fellow GOP candidate Joe Kent joked that then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would “be happy to give me a ride.” Collins chimed in: “Might push her out.”
KFile also found that Collins repeatedly praised Arizona state Sen. Wendy Rogers, who told a 2022 white nationalist conference organized by Nick Fuentes that “we need to build more gallows.” Collins has also echoed Jan. 6 conspiracy theories. In a 2022 interview carried on the Stew Peters Network, a platform whose founder has promoted Holocaust denial, the host called the riot a “grandma-guided tour.”

Good grief, what damage has he done there? He does not belong in Congress. He belongs somewhere else, so take your pick. Russia might be good for him. Or Cuba. Or anywhere else except America. This is disgusting.
Time and time again, we wonder how this sort of crap is alive and well in our country. It’s abhorrent to see things like this. The man was serious with his comments, no matter what he claims were jokes. He insists he’s not a white nationalist. He condemns hate speech. He refuses to admit Biden won in 2020. Right. No. The 2020 election is never going to die, ie have anyone admit Trump lost. It’s 6 years old. Let that rest. But don’t let the riot rest. That’s something that needs to be remembered, right up there with 9/11, except the riot was people of America against people of America. In the meantime, let’s hope Collins gets wiped off the map when votes are counted. Have you voted yet?
