This just gets better and better. Trump obviously did not listen to anyone who was brave enough to tell Trump to think about what a lawsuit against the BBC might bring out. He thought it would be easy money. He was, and is, wrong. Everyone knows Trump loves his lawsuits and expects people, schools, or companies to settle with him as opposed to going to court. Not this time, boyo. Definitely not this time.
We already know the BBC has requested a deposition from Jack Smith. We don’t yet know if he has been able to do so, but Mr. Smith is definitely someone to have on their side. He put years of investigation into the insurrection Trump caused, and he most certainly is a reputable source about Trump at that time, no matter how much Trump blathers about it.
Just hope that he doesn’t try something similar after the midterms. He already said that if Jon Ossoff keeps his Senate seat in Georgia, no federal help will go to the state. Ain’t that some bullsh!t? Even with the money supporting Senator Ossoff’s challenger, he is so far behind it’s pitiful. But that has been mentioned previously, so onward with the BBC lawsuit.
Trump has been *ordered* by the federal magistrate judge in the case that he *MUST* sit for a deposition on or before December 11 and comply with discovery. If they don’t? Well, that’s the good part. They could face sanctions, or the case may be thrown out. It’s not going to be easy money like Trump thought it would. Aw.
And another reminder – Trump was supposed to be deposed on October 16, except he cancelled due to matters of national importance, which were a campaign rally in Dalton, GA, and then a fundraiser at Mar-A-Loco. Those don’t fall under the category that his team told the court. National importance pffffff. No. Not even close. And if he does, they don’t want it videotaped. Hmmm. Wonder what the judge’s response to that little tidbit will be.
The BBC has been having trouble serving subpoenas on Trump Jr., Ivanka, and Jared Kushner. Apparently the Secret Service has been blocking them. When did they get SS protection back? At a guess, it’s because Trump is president again and they’re family, so they can have it again. Ridiculous! But then, Petey Boy and Kra$h Patel have done their own share of nepotism. Whatever.
Trump’s lawyers had to know that keeping on with the case means discovery. The BBC got permission to request information since the lawyers were waffling around. We can bet Trump isn’t happy about that, especially (again) with the potential for Jack Smith to be interviewed. They are also having trouble getting information about Mar-A-Loco. It’s not just family members. To quote:

Oh yes indeed. Trump *has* to be making money hand over fist at Mar-A-Loco. But he wants billions from the BBC. It is getting more and more unlikely that he will be able to. Right now the evidence is pretty damning. Trump and family members are dodging legal matters left, right, and upside down. That’s making them look worse, not better. And they’ve pissed off the judge, which is a bad, bad idea. Trump needs to lose. Period.
