Paul Manafort was sent directly to jail in June since probable cause was found that he would continue to commit crimes if left out on bail. He faces charges of lying to investigators, acting as an unregistered foreign agent and money laundering. His trial is scheduled to start July 25th. At that time he was sent to jail, Manafort’s lawyers appealed U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson’s decision to revoke his bail, and today, Mueller’s team filed an opposition to Manafort’s release.
