Sometimes you *do* need to speak up. Sometimes you *do* need to get it out there. Sometimes you need to put yourself into the spotlight. And sometimes you *deserve* to be in the light. Some people almost forgot you, being behind the scenes. Sometimes it seems your party forgot about you and what you’ve done. Sometimes, you need to step onto the stage and talk about yourself, not the country.

Come here, Joe, Tell us what the Democrats have done. Tell us what *you* have done. You’ve worked so much in the background that hardly anyone noticed what you did. Build Back Better was a huge accomplishment. You hardly showed it, you hardly talked about it. You should have talked louder and longer. Most people know about the negatives, because a certain idiot (hello DonOld) who likes to flap his mouth is out there saying he can do it better, and 1, 2, 3 is why and this should have been done *my* way. Blah blah blah never shuts up and negative, negative, negatives. He’s boooooriiiiing. And I am infuriated with the media saying tRump got the cease-fire done when he came in *just* in time to make one call and poof! It was done. How long did you work on it? Why didn’t you get on and in the media and say what *YOU* did? All that long careful work and he takes the credit. Grrrrr. But on the other hand, if/when it goes to hell, it’s not your problem anymore, is it?

I wish you had said more, Joe. I wish you had been Dark Brandon a WHOLE lot more. You were disconcertingly laid back. You didn’t need to have Sleepy Joe on you all the time. I tell ya, Dark Brandon should have been out here more – out here showing what you did, and the effect(s) it’s going to have so people *realize* there is some steel behind that sleepy face. There is strength of will behind that face.  There is purpose behind that face.

I don’t know what happened at the debate. You could have bowed out because you were sick (see? I remember these things). You could have asked for Kamala to step in for you (I think, not sure about some of these things. But instead, you did the opposite. You did the debate anyhow and looked like a fool. If you had been stronger earlier in y our reign, then you could certainly have backed out of the debate being sick.

I didn’t like the way you were forced out of running for 2028. It definitely should NOT have been so publicly. THAT was the worst part. If you could have gotten together with your advisors and say what can be done to mitigate the damage WITHOUT your laundry being hung out in public. Damn, what an idiot thing to do to you in public. Oh, my, that pissed me off. MY MY did that PISS me off. And then to come so close yet so far with Kamala. Ouch and *sigh*

But Joe, I wish you all the best and I hope you have a marvelous retirement!

*With thanks to the CNN Political team.

  1. My new hero is a 90 year old woman who lost everything in the Pacific Palisades fire. Her home of 48 years burnt to the ground, and all she left with was her dog and the clothes on her back. While the rich celebrities, with second homes, were crying on the internet and blaming everyone BUT the fossil fuel industry, she took it in stride. She said she was going to simplify her life. Then she made a profound statement: warriors don’t worry…they figure things out. Joe is clearly a man of integrity, but also is a career beauracrat. With everything he accomplished, he failed in the most important task…stopping the venal fascist from gaining power. He isn’t and never was a true warrior…he realized too late he wasn’t up to the fight, and those he opposed were WILLING TO DO WHATEVER IT TOOK TO WIN. He chose Garland, who is a nice Jewish boy who went to law school and made good. I’m sure his temple is very proud of him. He wasn’t a warrior either. Another career beauracrat sent to a war he hid from. Trump, I’m sad to report, is a warrior. He figured out how to steal the office again, despite all the evil shit he has done and said. Hitler was also a warrior. He served in WW1, got sent to prison for a failed political uprising, and clearly mobilized the German nation to take on the world. We didn’t send nice boys with great arguments to war in 1941. We sent warriors. If we had sent the likes of our career beauracrats to stop Germany, Italy, and Japan…we would have LOST. Unless we find more warriors amongst us, we won’t need to worry about the next election. Of course, my hero said warriors don’t worry…they just figure shit out. Thanks mam for setting the example and reminding us what it takes.

    • Y’know, Scott, I think you like breaking my brain and teaching me new things. I don’t know if I should scream or cry or do something else I don’t quite have the words for. As always, thank you!
