This guy seems to be made of fail. He’s been bragging about ramping up efforts to remove illegal immigrants, and it’s not working. The bragging is obvious. He wants to make sure Trump notices how well he’s doing compared to Gnome … Noem. Show us the proof, dude; show us the proof. Bragging does nothing for you when you don’t have documentation of some sort. How about a list of all the people he’s flying out? That would show him doing some work. That would actually be helpful to tell families if their loved one were flown out and where they went. That’s probably why it won’t happen.
Noem was in the news all the time when she was head of DHS. There seemingly hasn’t been much of anything Mullin has done, as not much news has shown up about him in the various sources available. One would think it would be front and center if he flew out some giant quantity of immigrants. Some of them get taken to various places in Africa, with no way to get home (especially with the fuel crisis and airline ticket prices, at a guess). And there are more that are dumped in various places that are so rough they’re not going to live very long. But now that I’ve detoured into illegal immigrant problems, moving back to the original topic:
There is no need for DHS overkill in grabbing supposed illegal immigrants, especially when they turn out to be US *residents*. We’re not seeing the numbers “required” for Stephen Miller’s quotas. ICE and CBP make up a lot of the immigrant snatching. With the inclusion of the additional untrained people, they’ve now really turned into groups of thugs, roaming the streets, grabbing people, and physically or verbally abusing (or shooting) some of the people they grab.
It’s time for a visit from Raw Story:
But for many prominent MAGA and conservative figures, Mullin’s supposed attempt to depict himself as a MAGA hardliner fell flat. Fox News’ Tomi Lahren called Mullin out on air for refusing at least 18 invitations to appear on the network. “Despite toughening his language on immigration — and he has increased arrests and detentions — many influential conservatives still see him as too soft on the issue,” the Times’ report reads. “And the White House has broken with him on several significant issues, further undermining his standing.”
One would think it couldn’t get worse than Noem. It has. (How low can we go?) Increased abductions … er, arrests and detentions, okay, sure, but we still want the proof. But the rest? Heh. He should have stayed in Congress. It would have been nice if some of us, the people, could have gotten in with questions. The first thing I’d ask about would be FEMA.
We knew he would be worse than Noem on day 2, or thereabouts. We were dubious about him from the beginning in that he would be a hot mess. This guy did not get into Congress on brainpower. He doesn’t seem to have much of one, or he’d be more careful about what he says. That’s good for us. It’s another pain point for after we flip at least the House, and hopefully the Senate too, which is looking more and more possible. Republicans are not doing well, and that includes Mullin. So … he’s increased arrests and detentions. But he’s flopping like a fish out of water for the rest. We could have told them that would happen. Oops.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
