From Yahoo news: President Trump said “contracts” are being negotiated to divide up land as part of a final deal ending Russia’s war in Ukraine and reiterated that a ceasefire could come “pretty soon.” What? WHAT? Divide up land? It *all* belongs to Ukraine, not the US, and most certainly not Russia! And *why* do I feel like Ukraine is going to be forced into accepting it? During his Tuesday call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump proposed the U.S. take ownership of some of Ukraine’s power plants as a way of providing protection in the future. Oh, my lawd have mercy!
We have been helping Ukraine all along and now this happens? Especially after the scene on live TV that *Vance* started? Good grief! Vance, speaking to reporters at the White House said “The mineral deal is an important part of the president’s policy. No. 1, the American people have got to get some payback for the incredible financial investment we’ve made in this country,” He added “The president is just trying to ensure that the American people get a fair deal while simultaneously making sure we have access to minerals and resources that are important to the economy of the future.” And they really believe this crap? Arrogant all the way. I’m guessing that Putin said he wanted the land he currently controls or no ceasefire. And by the way, remember “I can end the war in one day?” *snort*
Yes, I know I’m preaching to the choir but DAMN. Every time some new bullsht like this comes out I’m enraged yet again. Ukraine is going to lose for a fight they did not start, no matter what Agent Orange says. Satellite and news reports plainly showed the buildup Putin did along the border. And it plainly showed Russia attacking. The Ukraine people, who, I might remind you, HATE the Russians, are fighting for THEIR country – not Russia’s and not the US’s country. This is just … demeaning. And who’s to say that Putin won’t attack again? That’s an even *bigger* problem. Putin breaks his word as often as tRump does and quite easily. He agreed to an energy infrastructure ceasefire. That lasted about 57 minutes if I remember correctly.

Ukraine is a sovereign country. No one has designated or recognized the United States as negotiator on behalf of Ukraine, least of all Ukraine itself. So this is all self-dealing — of course Ukraine gets the short end of the stick. But it ‘s all a bunch of crap, it doesn’t matter. Whatever they come up with has no authority.
The only countries in the world that currently do not have diplomatic relations with Ukraine are: Bhutan, Kiribati, Mali (Since 4 August 2024), Nauru, Niger (Since 6 August 2024), North Korea (Since 13 July 2022), Papua New Guinea, Russia (Since 24 February 2022), Somalia, Syria (Since 30 June 2022), and Tonga. Syria only broke off relations in 2022. After the fall of Assad, the two countries are in the process of restoring relations. Even Belarus maintains an embassy in Kyiv.
After the last agreement The USA had with Ukraine wasn’t honored and led directly to the current Russian invasion, (Ukraine’s agreement to get rid of their trillions of dollars of nuclear weapons in exchange for US and Russian ‘security guarantees’) the world won’t be surprised if Ukraine doesn’t follow along with whatever is agreed to on their behalf this time by the two liars from last time.
Trump.hates Zelensky and thus Ukraine for the same reason he hates,Trudeau and Canada: both are younget, better looking, smarter,and more concerned with the welfare of their country,,a concept Trump,,a malignant narcissist whose immediate question is “What’s on it for me?” cannot comprehend.
