Won’t say it just can’t say it. Why can’t it be said? Just one vote to lose. Threats if not passed out of committee. That’s ridiculous. No confidence. Gee I wonder why? Could it be the background? Could it be previous actions? You *had* to know this was coming. Can’t be whitewashed.
Tulsi Gabbard’s chances are not doing too well in the Intelligence Committee’s questioning. She won’t say Edward Snowden is a traitor, won’t answer any questions about him. How can they miss she’s a known Russian asset? She speaks very highly of Putin and this will put her into the right place to have a bunch of information to share. My screams haven’t been doing any good for the no, No, NO part of the questioning. She CANNOT be trusted. Haven’t they figured that out yet?
Anyone who says no to her, who is a Republican, is going to get primaried, i.e. there are those that will support a competitor for their next election if they don’t turn into good little lap dogs, which is ridiculous. A person makes a choice based on the information available. Now, I’m not thrilled with Republicans, but this seems just a tiny bit much. But if even one of the possible Republicans changes to vote with the Democrats, that’s a no go to get her in front of the full Senate and *boom* pick someone else to try. I’d be happy to get her out of the way.
And it looks like Kash Patel is going to make it, dammit. The man has an enemies list of about 60 people and we all know what that means – retribution. He doesn’t need to be in office either. At this point there are 3 I am worried about and please, lawd, let at least ONE of them not make it. I don’t know if I have one that could get confirmed if the other 2 didn‘t. There are no options that aren’t ridiculous and a little frightening.
RFK Jr. Tulsi Gabbard. Kash Patel. I don’t know which one to choose because I don’t think any of them are suited for the positions being confirmed. And I don’t know which is the worst and which is the best in terms of allowing to be confirmed and not. They’re ALL unsuitable for some pretty serious reasons. Okay, I can call Tulsi the worst. That’s easy. But which would I prefer in office of the other two? No idea. It would be great if NONE of them were confirmed but ain’t gonna happen. I know Tulsi is on the razor’s edge, so please have a Republican say HELL NO. I would say sure, primary me, because I’m saying HELL NO. That threat is ridiculous. But there is still a chance she won’t make it out of committee and I am crossing my fingers for that.
Yea, our country is going to the dogs when ALL the possible choices for confirmation are “which is the least bad?” I hope someone in the committees is clear-headed enough to figure it out. And yes, I know I keep repeating myself but these people are so bad they do NOT belong in office. RFK Jr and Kash will probably make it out to the Senate. Then we have the “are any Republicans strong enough to say no?” Okay I’m into the writing in circles point, so time to close. I can still have a tiny bit of hope, yes? Very tiny but still….

Friends, I am forced to self-promote and ask you for money. We had a bad year compared with 2023 and the end of the year has been catastrophic. Traffic died on November 5. We are a small blog and completely self-supporting by ad revenue, donations, and subscriptions. If you can afford a monthly subscription that would help us out. If you can make a small donation, likewise. Our only goal is to stay in business and give you the best content we can generate. You are the wind beneath our wings. Thank you. Any chance the current tariff madness and market fallout will cause the scales to fall from the eyes of 2 or 3 GOP senators to give Trump pause in th enominations process?
I (we) can hope and hope is all I have. Unlikely though…..
