Georgia is on everybody’s mind as the November elections begin to loom large. In 44 days the political landscape can look a lot better — or, God forbid worse — than it does today.
We don’t know which party will hold the House. Or the Senate. Or which hard core MAGAs will make it over the finish line. We don’t know if Lauren Boebert will still be here to provide her own brand of oblivious domestic terrorism.
And in Georgia, the state could remain in Brian Kemp’s hands, or change to Stacey Abrams. What a sea change, not to mention breath of fresh air, that would be. And may heaven help us all, and Georgians in particular, if Raphael Warnock is replaced by that character that no novelist could ever write, Herschel Walking Braindead Walker. Liberal Redneck explains.
Walker is simply incredible. He’s one of those characters that history provides and no novelist ever could. Hopefully, he will lose.
Another key race to look at right now is in Utah. Evan McMullin is tied with Mike Lee. If McMullin topples Lee, and if Georgia doesn’t do anything monumentally stupid, that could keep the Senate from going into GOP hands right there.

Women with working brains are voting Rs who want us to.be indentured servants to fetuses out of power. And we may yet hold the House.
