Uvalde P.D. Not Cooperating With Probe of School Shooting.

Well this is not at all suspicious.

ABC News

“The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent School District police force are no longer cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Safety’s investigation into the massacre at Robb Elementary School and the state’s review of the law enforcement response, multiple law enforcement sources tell ABC News.
According to sources, the decision to stop cooperating occurred soon after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news conference Friday during which he said the delayed police entry into the classroom was “the wrong decision” and contrary to protocol.”

So, is this a case of them getting their feels hurt by McCraw, or is there, as I suspect, something rotten going on?

I don’t want to cast any asparagus without evidence so I will make like Tucker Carlson and ask some questions, questions which the ABC article does not address.

Will the extent of this noncooperation reach to the level of withholding of 911 recordings, crime scene photos, witness interviews, autopsy findings and police personnel records?

And just how fervently will the state of Texas and its cop-loving Gubner and Legislature press to secure their cooperation and find the truth?

Something may be rotten in Denmark folks but what I’m starting to smell in Texas makes that stench smell like eau de cologne.

And I’m not the only one catching a whiff of funk:

Ain’t it tho?

  1. I wondered how long that would take. They’ve got their Mayor running cover for them and probably much of their Town Council, all of whom are terrified by the lawsuits they are facing. As for the cops, I’m sure they have retained lawyers but where it will get interesting is when some of them decide to look out for #1 so to speak. It will be like a bunch of mob goons, initially working on a joint defense but eventually one or more will crack and tell their lawyer to cut a deal. I realize we are likely talking about civil instead of criminal proceedings (which should provoke a whole new look at the legal doctrine of Qualified Immunity I might add!) but the concept holds.

I wonder how any of that PD can look the people in their town in the eye now. And unless I miss my guess they will find themselves pariahs if they try to get an LE job elsewhere. Cops in other departments will look at them as cowards. If those assholes wouldn’t protect CHILDREN they damned sure won’t trust them to watch their own backs. Not to mention the outcry in any community that might hire one of them.

      • Interesting question as cops aren’t nearly as accurate in actual life & death situations as they are on the range. However, the breach was made by a Border Patrol team that likely was trained well so while it’s possible kids were hit they would have been aiming for anyone not laying down or wounded/dead on the floor.

Two things are really occupying my thoughts at the moment. The first which has been bugging the shit out of me all day was from reading something saying the 19 cops that cowered in the hallway were “outgunned” – as in they only had handguns but knew the murderous shooter in that classroom had an assault weapon. NONE of them had more than handguns in their cruisers when they arrived on scene? I rather doubt that. And there sure as hell was PLENTY of time for a couple of those guys to head outside and get weapons out of cruisers that would even up the firepower. More importantly, there were PLENTY of LE assault weapons on scene. If you think back on those images of cops OUTSIDE the school threatening parents, shoving them around and even restraining some of them what do they have in common? Damned near every one had an assault weapon slung down the front of their chests! You think maybe instead of using them to threaten parents and community members that wanted LE to DO something to save those kids they might have offered to head inside themselves and trade out spots with the supposedly outgunned 19 cops in the hall? Or offered four or five assault weapons so there would be plenty of cops with them to go ahead and breach?

The other thing I just learned watching Lawrence O’Donnell. From the get-go the authorities spoke of a teacher that propped the door open – the door the murderer used to gain entry into the school. Clearly they were setting her up to take the fall for the whole thing. EXCEPT it turns out they have been fucking LYING about that from the beginning. Yes, she propped the door open with a rock when she went outside for a minute but upon realizing a shooter was coming she removed the rock and slammed the door shut – and was pulling on the bar (to make sure it was in fact shut as she was on the phone with 011! Video evidence backs this up even though authorities suggested otherwise until today.

That REALLY pisses me off! I know damn good and well that dude from the state who haltingly went through the “timeline” last Friday saw the video. He knew damn well the picture he painted, tossing that out there that a teacher shared blame for the murders was false. But just as cops paint false narratives of people shot dead by panicky cops as “thugs” (and if it’s a black person everyone knows that’s code for the n-word!) there was a clear attempt by LE to set up a “as tragic as all this was, and even if LE fucked up their fuckups wouldn’t have happened if not for that teacher! How many people in this country, especially the gun fetishists have seized on that falsehood about the teacher and won’t EVER let it go? Even if/when the video PROVING she removed the rock and pulled the door shut (and journalists have seen it) is shown?

All this talk about state authorities being unhappy the Uvalde PD has stopped “cooperating” feels like crocodile tears to me. They probably hoped that video would remain sealed up for a whole lot longer. That teacher’s lawyer needs to be screaming from the rooftops demanding its release right fucking now! And finally, that coward school district police commander who got SECRETLY sworn in for his new City Council post today. The fucking mayor released a statement about it. And HE had to take part in the swearing in, knowing that for two days the state level (and fed too) authorities have been trying and failing to find that asshole cop-now-council member. He should have Obstruction of Justice charges filed against him.
