Imagine your in Anywhere U.S.A. in your modest but comfortable house in your quiet neighborhood. It’s late, 11pm and the family is settled in, if not in bed then will be before long. Just another normal night in your normal quiet life. Then there’s pounding at the door, you look at your Ring device and see two dudes wearing tactical gear and ski masks like on TV. Even with badges (that you don’t recognize) hanging from their neck. They claim to have a warrant but something seems ‘off.” What do you do? A Houston man found himself in this situation last Friday night. It ended with two people dead!
This the America Trump has created, with his sending increasing numbers of Federal Agents running around fully geared up in tactical gear AND wearing masks. Swarming people in public. Storming into churches and businesses, and even schools. Busting into homes. It was only a matter of time until criminals or would be ones decided to gear-up including and especially with the ski masks and start busting into homes. (An ersatz badge is easy enough to get) Claiming to be LE. But, you think you and yours haven’t done anything wrong. Hell, you might be WHITE going back generations on both sides of the family. OK, maybe you score a little weed now and then from the brother of a guy you work with. Or fudged your salary by a couple grand on that car loan last year. But this? And something doesn’t seem quite right about these guys. THEN they start shooting. Through your door and into the house.
This can happen in any community in America now, whether in a small town or a city. In this case according to The Independent in a a quiet neighborhood in Houston late the other night there was that knock on the door. Houston Police say two mean wearing gear, ski masks and with badges (? I’d love to see a pic of their badges) claimed to have a warrant. Details about the homeowner who went to the door have been limited. However we’ve seen countless times how LE has leaped to trash certain people who exercise good ole boy rights against certain good ole boy types. My bet is that the Houston homeowner is clean.
What we do know from the Houston Police is the two dead guys were NOT cops. Or federal agents of some sort. They chose to cosplay what Trump has created for your viewing on his Trump TV bullshit Reality TV Presidency show. Luckily the homeowner and his family were unharmed by the two guys who were clearly up to nothing good. Make no mistake, we will see more of this. It’s easy enough to buy fatigues and tactical gear. A ski mask too. Also a badge or a ‘badge patch’ that can be sewn onto the outfit that can, in the heat of the moment (especially at night) make a victim wonder what to do? According to the linked article here’s what happened in this instance:
Police said the men told the homeowner they were serving a warrant. They were wearing bullet-proof vests, had badges around their necks and were wearing ski masks.
Lt. Amber Khan told KHOU that the homeowner “became suspicious, because, you know, they have a ring camera too, and the suspects were saying they had a warrant.”
“But it was just two people and they’re masked up and no police cars, no lights or anything like that,” she added.
Think about this. You or Joe and Josephine Homeowner might have done nothing wrong. Yet there they are and they might, might be real LE but got the address wrong. We know THAT happens! Often with tragic results. So again, what is someone to do? What awful things might have happened in that house had the guy thought ‘Well, I’ll be cooperative and really, REALLY polite and try to sort this out. They probably have the wrong address or something.’ At best he, his wife and child would have been tied up while their home was robbed. I’ll leave you to it if you want to go down the ‘worst’ rabbit hole.
Make no mistake though – this is almost certain to become a regular thing. IF it turns out the cops are real and made some mistake showing up at your door, or had bad information or worse some a-hole “SWATTED” you for whatever reason and you resist it will get real ugly real quick. Suppose you even have a firearm in your hands when they bust in? Or worse use it because you think they are pretend LE hiding behind masks, or rogue cops? As we’ve all too often seen things end in tragedy.
It used to be that LE at least showed their faces. That was one sign that what they were wearing and the LE identification was legit. Now, in Trump’s America they are often tasked with things that make them ashamed. So much so they don’t want folks in their own neighborhoods, or their church to know what they do on any given day. Sometimes they even want to hide it from their own families! They hide who you are crap has begun to filter down to state and local LE. That’s what makes a comment at the end of the linked story so WTF? outrageous:
“Right now, we don’t have ages on the suspects,” Lt. Khan said at the press conference. “They look to be younger, maybe at the most in their 30’s.”
Detective Kyle Stringer urged residents to know the signs of legitimate police presence.
He explained that real police officers do not wear ski masks.
“Obviously, a police car with some sort of lights and sirens and a bullhorn where we’ll be announcing ourselves,” he added to the list of things to look out for when verifying who is a police officer.
I don’t know about you, but that part about ‘real police officers don’t wear masks’ jumped out at me. They sure as hell do these days! Not just feds, but increasingly state and local LE (sometimes) as I’ve said. And, as seems to be the case here the loaded-for-bear guys pounding on the door claiming to have a Warrant don’t identify who they are with I once again ask WHAT THE HELL IS A PERSON SUPPOSED TO DO? To Trump it’s just reality TV but for those who don’t live with security details, much less 24/7 Secret Service protection it’s actual reality. So let’s be clear it was TRUMP that created this new reality. He’s the one who okayed feds covering up their faces. AND has had his team on TV justifying it. AND sending out more and more people including National Guard and even active duty military to our streets – wearing masks.
We can only hope I’m wrong and this will turn out to be an isolated incident. I sure as hell hope I’m wrong, but sadly I don’t think so.
So what happened? Who shot who? Then what? Telling us that 2 people are dead without any explanation leaves us with no moral to the story: who won, good guys or bad?
I beg to digger but I stated the homeowner and his family were unharmed. In addition to various parts that might not have flat-out said only the bad guys/cosplay cops got shot there was this: “Luckily the homeowner and his family were unharmed by the two guys who were clearly up to nothing good.”

Criminals see. Criminals do. And criminal do see, and do … and you identify that problem in your words “… It was only a matter of time until criminals … start …” It’s apparent the whole bloody thing is criminal, and it’s spawned a criminal cottage industry. Not good. A criminally run and lawless banana republic just around the corner, perhaps?
Incidents are only isolated until they’re not.
Who could have predicted that having uncontrolled, masked, disguised, law enforcement officials, who don’t show identification of any sort, intimidating and bullying the general public would lead to criminals so easily copying them?
