What IS it with this woman? Is she really that dense? Or just that stupid?
{Begin rant} Yes, I’m talking about everyone’s favorite village idiot, Kristi Noem. She obviously doesn’t understand the word security, so why is she head of Homeland Security? tRump’s choices have been horrendous but this one is beyond horrendous, to the point I can’t find a word for it! She makes me want to grab her and shake her til her 3 brain cells actually get together and maybe, just maybe, start to work. Okay, maybe I shouldn’t set the bar so high. But JEEZ.
Here we are with Elon and his boy toys rampaging through the US Government and going to places they ought not be in. They’re accessing sensitive personal information they have no right to see. They have no security clearances. WHAT are they doing in there? Personal information is not cost cutting! It’s none of their damn business! And once it’s breached by these children, there’s no saying what might get out of a secure site! GAHHHHHH.
Okay, I’ll get to the point and stop on the ranting for a bit. Kristi says that DOGE has access to agency data for Homeland. She has no qualms about it. WHAT!?!? That’s information that should REALLY require a security clearance. I have no idea what’s in there. but it ought not have the possibility of someone blurting out something that should have stayed in-house. I can only guess what information Homeland has, but going by the title of this division, it could be almost anything involving security for the US and information that only a few are privy to. DOGE ought not to be putting their sticky little fingers on this. And I would think Homeland *needs* to keep their budget, of all places. Security for the US really ought not require a price tag. But she has no qualms about them being in there.
I guess I finally have to admit that she really is that dumb. She doesn’t realize the extent to which this can be dangerous. For those of us that *have* a brain, this is nothing short of insanity. I’m so pissed I can barely type. When I ran across this bit of news I sat and stared at my monitor for a good long time. Then I screamed. Then I decided that Politizoom folks might like to know about this, if they don’t already. What a farce. Did she even pass a background check? What about the FBI, what’s left of it, report? Or was she just fast-tracked in and “we’ll worry about that later “? If E-yawn is any good he’ll get buddy buddy with her and keep her under his thumb too, just like he does the Confused Carrot.
I’m figuring Homeland is going to get sliced and diced to bits, just like the CIA and other agencies. And more information is going to be in the hot little hands of DOGE. What will they do with it? Just look and move on? Or will they take it with them? Could I hope that someone doesn’t say something at the wrong time? Or should I take it as a given? *We* are in deep trouble and DOGE is only going to make it worse. It’s only going to get worse. {End rant}

Don’t stop your rant, Susan, it’s first-rate! Kristi Noem is a product of an electorate in South Dakota, and increasingly nationwide, that does not want to vote for excellence and hard work and some ability to think about issues. An electorate that begins every human interaction with, “you think you’re better than me?! You’re not better than me!!”
When you have been intentionally dumbed down AND, at the same time, lifted up as the greatest who ever lived on this planet, you are suspicious of educated people. They are hiding something in those books they are always reading…something that will harm the rest us. So destroy the books and the people who read them. I only trust the people “no better than me!” 🥊🤪

As for the future of Noem’s department… it has oversight of federal elections so that compartment will go. Community safety will go too. I reckon Homeland Security will be pared down to just mass deportation activities.
Everything Project 2025 and DOGE are doing is essentially the Nikita Khrushchev plan in action. In 1956, he said: “We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within.”
While I agree Noem is stupid, I actually believe she does know what she’s doing – she’s a willing collaborator in the destruction of the US government, ie a traitor.
