Ted Tone Deaf Cruz spoke at CPAC and proudly announced that the GOP was the party of the hardworking American, not that of the country club goer. That didn’t take long to blow up in his face, since Donald Trump literally lives at a country club, and Cruz belongs to one — not to mention living in a $2Million house and having escaped the blizzard in Texas by fleeing to another country club, the Ritz Carlton in Cancun. Of all of Cruz’ ridiculous utterances, this one unraveled quickest of all.

Incorrect. Trump made 418 visits to Trump-branded properties — which included 307 days spent at golf clubs as of December 17. That means Trump visited golf courses for about 21% of his presidency, or roughly 1 in 5 days. He visited Trump properties 29% of his term. Liar.

The Orange Monster, Cruz, Hawley, and the rest are the best argument that we could have that anyone who wants to run for any public office (federal, state, or local) should have to pass a physical and psychological evaluation by bipartisan panels of physicians and mental health professionals before they can get on the ballot or be appointed. An IQ test and a common sense test might be a good idea too!
