At approximately 3:45 a.m. PST Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth has tested positive for COVID-19. She is having “mild, cold-like symptoms” reports ABC News and is expected to carry out “light duties” next week.
One assumes that she is fully vaccinated if she’s only having mild symptoms.
At 95, the Queen is in the most at risk age bracket for serious reaction to COVID, but mitigating factors are of course full vaccination and prior good health.
More updates here if anything changes.
