This woman cannot stand *not* having attention for more than a short period of time and it’s ridiculous!
Nancy Mace is at it again! This time she chose the floor of the House of Representatives to make accusations that have nothing to do with government. Apparently, she thinks this will protect her from libel. She has accused her former fiancé and other men of assault, rape, and sex trafficking. She even had visuals, faces of the men she is accusing, on a posterboard. Whoopee. This speech also included the little tidbit that she found 10,633 videos on the ex’s phone. Well first of all, she had to do a little digging to find these videos, and then, how on earth did she have enough time to count more than 10,000 of them?
Remember the trans bathroom nonsense? Well, she’s escalating, right? It’s been too long since anyone looked at her sideways and now she can turn it into a big speech about how a woman has the right to autonomy of her own body. Okay, I get that, but really, a speech on the House floor? Come on. And, is that posterboard accurate? What proof does she have of these allegations? Just those 10,000 plus videos? How did she get them off the phone to take to the state’s AG? What other proof did she have? There’s a hell of a lot that’s needed to bring a case against someone and I should know! It’s not nearly as simple as she is making it out to be.
It continues to bug me that she felt she needed to take nearly an hour of everyone’s time on the floor with accusations. The House is not for accusations. It’s for governing. The things she talked about have no place there. The men she accused don’t even have the opportunity to speak in their own defense. We do know the ex-fiance has categorically denied the charges. Remember innocent until proven guilty? Yea, that. Maybe she felt that by talking about it there, she will get more support and not have to “go it alone”. Remember tRump’s court case? They could come sit in the gallery while the case is going on, but that’s about it. That’s the limit of potential support.
Let me not forget to mention that she is accusing the State AG’s office of dong nothing and disregarding the “case” she brought to them about this. They denied her claims stating: “the office has not received any reports or requests for assistance from any law enforcement or prosecution agencies regarding these matters.”
It’s also not easy to talk about this sort of thing, which is why I’m having doubts as to the truth of it. And for 53 minutes? Good grief. I would have been bored after the first 5 and have my doubts about staying there for the whole thing. It’s all shameless self-promotion, anyhow. Is there any truth to it? Is there any actual proof of it? Only Nancy knows.
******And now, please read a very special request from our awesome boss******

Well, if Mace is expecting that Congressional “protection,” I’ve got a feeling she’s going to find out it will NOT protect her from slander or libel. What she did was NOT related to HOUSE DEBATE matters (and, language emanating from debates is what’s protected).
