The Confused Carrot made some promises when talking about getting spending under control in the government. Muskrat and his boys are heading for one of those promises.
Yep, it’s on the list. E-yawn’s team is about to hit Social Security. I had a faint hope they wouldn’t do so. I should have remembered DonOld *always* breaks his promises. We are staring down the big gun pointed at us. Millions of us count on Social Security. We paid into this with our blood and sweat and work. It belongs to *us*. I don’t think Muskrat knows that or wants to know that. He’s going to take money, our money, away from the American people. I know I’ve spoken on this before but now it’s a reality when I was just theorizing before.
I and millions of others depend on Social Security to live. What are the results going to be if he cuts us off? Will we be left homeless? Will we be living under bridges with all the others? I’m literally terrified.
So, what in the holy hell can we do? Reach out to our representatives again? Will they actually listen? Will they take action? Do they know about this yet? The Republicans with their majority have rolled over and turned into the Mango Mandarin’s lap dogs. Apparently, they’re barely working on the budget for the government and the one we have expires in March. So, it’s almost certain that more government functions are going to be turned off until they get a new budget
But I digress. Muskrat has free rein to romp through all the divisions of government and beat them down into tiny bits. At least Treasury pushed back. But *can* SS push back? Can anyone else push back? Have they noticed this yet? Could we do anything through the courts? There’s no way to go to Washington and slap Elon silly. Yes, he’s DOG-e and has a special government position. I don’t care. He needs to cut that sh*t the hell out. *Look* at what these government divisions do. Treasury should be obvious. Social Security should be obvious! This is money of the people for the people!
How is he going to cut this? Will it be through staffing, or will he take money away from us? That’s *NOT* his to play with. It likely won’t matter. So, I’m scared. So, so scared.

If they cut SS payments, the world will hear an ear-piercing scream emanate from our country. It will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. And Trump will lose his gold dust luster in one fell swoop.
I, too, am afraid. Hubby and I live in an apartment, but our sis-in-law lives in a large house and the conversations we have to have are real. Yesterday, she offered that if the feared future happens, maybe Hubby and should move into her large master bedroom with the en suite bathroom and she, the lonely widow, will move into a smaller bedroom. We discussed that my private pensions can pay the mortgage costs and we’ll try to figure out how to eat and such when Social Security dries up. Yah, we are middle class folk in the richest country in history and our new dictator and his oligarch overlords are making us think about this. We have always worked to reach out to those who have less than we do. When those with less money than we have are once again taking the largest hit, I won’t be able to reach out and help through those wonderful charities I support. This is going to wake up some of those who sat idle on election day, but the pain will be long and sustained before things can get better!! 🤬
Our entire income consists of Social Security and his military pension. I am 75. He is 68. NO ONE will hire us. We will be homeless. Translation: we’ll be dead. Which is likely what Soon has in mind. Anyone who cannot put money in his overflowing pockets should just die.
