Maxine Waters, who has been the subject of death threats that forced her to cancel appearances this week, came out swinging at those who would threaten her at an immigration rally today:
I have no fear. I’m in this fight.
I know that there are those who are talking about censuring me, talking about kicking me out of Congress, talking about shooting me, talking about hanging me.
All I have to say is this, if you shoot me you better shoot straight, there’s nothing like a wounded animal.
Watch at about the 3:30 mark:
These are words that you expect out of some character in a gangster movie, not a 79-year-old Congresswoman. But that’s is where we are right now in this country, under this president. I
It started with Trump falsely accusing Waters, who has who has a long history of opposing violence, of inciting harm to his supporters:
Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!

That veiled threat at the end of “careful what you wish for” was enough to trigger someone to make real death threats against Maxine. And although Maxine stayed out of the public eye for a few days, she came back out swinging today.
At the immigration rally she showed no fear and repeated slammed Trump for his family separation policy:
How dare you. How dare you take the babies from her mother’s arms

Thank you, Maxine Waters, for your bravery to stand up to the bully in the Oval Office. If more members of Congress had your strength, then we would be in a better place right now.
