We are judged by our actions and our words. Those define us beyond all else. I remember Marjorie Taylor Greene literally kicking somebody who was in front of her during a rally on gun control a few years back. The 20-something activist asked Greene a question and she was not in a good humor that day, so she kicked the gal. Here’s the footage and needless to say it was hotly debated later that day and Marge claimed that she didn’t kick her constituent.
I bring this up at this time because it stuck in my memory. What kind of a savage literally kicks another human being who happens to disagree with her? This incident took place after Marge made headlines chasing David Hogg down the street and accosting him. That was bad enough, but not as bad as this kick.
And that same energy is in the clip you’re about to see now. There’s a kind of viciousness here that you see, a true mental instability. Marge has to lash out at somebody who confronts her.

This is despicable behavior. This kind of behavior is not sanctioned in any part of our society. If you or I treated our co-workers this way, we would not have a job. The reason I characterize this as “reptilian brain” is because it’s totally reactive — as was the kick. Marge does not reason, she reacts and she reacts with hostility.
Supposedly she’s in a bulletproof ruby red district. I hope that the folks in that Georgia district feel satisfied that they sent an immature, explosive personality like this to Congress. I don’t know how they could be, but supposedly her congressional seat is not in danger and she’ll be there forever, just like Matt Gaetz.
So what is the psychology of a person who behaves this way? Again, we get to an analysis of MAGA and it’s an analysis of rageaholism. There are people who are rageaholics as there are people who are alcoholics. Alcoholics can’t control their drinking, rageholics can’t control their rage. Here are a few of the characteristics.
- frequent outbursts
- excessive anger with no cause
- overreaction of anger to any frustrating situation
- quick desire to resort to physical altercations
They can’t handle frustrations and so they do so inappropriately — like throwing bottles of ketchup at the wall. No wonder she loves Donald Trump. Here are some of the things that cause somebody to be a rageaholic.
- genetics
- past trauma
- underdeveloped coping skills
- overwhelming current life circumstances
- frequently misinterpreting situations
- growing up with a parent who displayed uncontrolled anger
- being brought up in an environment that accepted violent behavior or aggression
- mental health conditions
- substance use disorders
We don’t know how Marge got there, we just know that she is there. And a functioning rageaholic is not somebody that you want as a lawmaker. People doing that job need to be level headed, analytic, fair minded, capable of compromise, empathetic, and Marge displays none of those characteristics. To her, politics is a war and she’s going to go to battle for MAGA — from her Georgia mansion, where she was born to wealth and never had to work a day in her life. And it shows. Those of us who have had to work learn how to go along to get along. We keep our heads down and our mouths shut and do our jobs.
Marge never learned any of that. She’s spent her life in a bubble of privilege, like Trump, and now she’s going to push her extremist agenda, like Trump.
Marge looks bad in this clip. If you go over to Twitter you will see a lot of praise for the clip, and for Marge’s actions, but I think that’s the usual bot responses that MAGA has in place. This is not normal behavior. The reporter was doing her job and Marge lost her cool.
She’s like her soul mate Lauren Boebert, in that regard. It’s only a matter of time before they lose their cool because they’re pushing a line of pure manure, they know it, and they live with the frustration of trying to justify it day by day. Except they don’t handle that frustration gracefully.
If you had told me that in my sunset years I would be watching a pair of Republican congresswomen heckle the president during a State Of The Union address, when they weren’t busy flipping the bird to a theater usher or telling a reporter “Go fuck off,” I would not have believed you. If you had told me even in 2014 or so that I would be seeing these things, I would not have believed you.
But this is the school of fish that swam in with Donald Trump. This is his doing. Uncivility and open hostility and vulgarity are his trademarks. Trump respects nothing and no one. And neither do Boebert and Greene.
I am told that Boebert is trailing a distant third in her primary and that there’s a strong likelihood she’s done in politics. God, I hope that’s true. As to Greene, as stated, she’s here to stay, a great canker sore on the body politic, or so we are told. But the fact is, when Trump loses and the Republican party regroups, she may be a thing of the past as well.
The right-wing has always had its poster children of misfits and crackpots. Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar and others have been with us for a very long time. So I suppose it is possible that Greene will be as well. But one thing I can tell you: as time passes, certain novelty acts get stale. What you’re seeing happen to Boebert in Colorado illustrates that. People get fed up.
Here’s my prediction: It took the Beetlejuice debacle to expose Boebert for who and what she is. There may be a Beetlejuice incident ahead for Greene as well. If politics has taught us anything, it’s that self entitled clowns, with delusions of godhood eventually find a way to trip themselves up. Go ask Madison Cawthorn, he’ll explain it to you.

What else would one expect from the puffed-up feckless vagina, that’s not even as deep as a birdbath at best of times. Just maybe this is Ms M. Megaphone’s ‘Beetlejuice moment’. Fingers crossed it is just that.
Yes Ursula, I never thought this would be the stage for my third act. Unlike an actor with a script though, I have no way of knowing how it will end. I just hope it doesn’t end like Romeo and Juliet.
I’m sure the international audience enjoyed our lawmakers’ erudite response. I just wish the reporter corrected her the first time she referred to baby huey as ‘president trump’ by saying he’s not the current president. He lost the election and he lost in court and a number of your group have pled guilty to a conspiracy to alter that outcome. Of course the ‘fuck you’ would have come earlier. Ha.
As Bill Hicks said, Creationists don’t look very evolved.
We need a better word for this. “Rageaholic” is not accurate since it is a combination of “rage” and the last part of “alcohol”. Unless the rager is also drunk, it makes no sense.
Makes me wonder if ol’ Margie was born in the Central State Hospital in Milledgeville -in its time one of the largest mental institutions in the country.
