She still hasn’t learned to watch what she says because, thus far at least, it *always* comes back to bite her. Always. She does her ICE Barbie thing without caring, just to get herself coverage in the news. She has no idea of proper protocols. She’s arrogant, thinking she’s untouchable, and she set ICE loose to terrorize the country, not thinking about what it would cost in the economy. We think she needs to get schooled to see if she can learn. With many thanks to Raw Story:

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was in the hot seat on Christmas after her department released a statement that numerous observers flagged as a violation of the Constitution. Homeland Security alarmed some critics when, on Christmas Eve, the department took to social media and wrote, “Merry Christmas, America. We are blessed to share a nation and a Savior.” The social media post also included a video with a version of Silent Night playing, and at times, random Christmas-themed pop culture clips. The video from DHS ends with a recording from the broadcast from the Apollo 8 astronauts in 1968, who wished the world, “Merry Christmas, and God bless all of you, all of you on the good Earth.”

Yes, this may be petty, but it shows there are bigger signs of what she just did. There’s this thing discussed below called the separation of church and state. Is she trying to get control of churches and religions now? Unlikely thus far, that is, because even with Corey Lewandowski around, she’s not that bright. Buuuut other people could get in there and have her be a talking head for something. “Kristi, just memorize this and say it at such and such a time in/on this place.” Yikes!

That caused onlookers to call out the Establishment Clause and the nation’s separation of Church and State. //// The Alex Nowrasteh of the libertarian Cato Institute said, “Americans don’t share a religion. Our state is secular.” //// Conservative Bill Kristol chimed in, “Un-American. And, if I may say, un-Christian.” //// Journalist James M. Russell also weighed in, “This is like the public access version of the opening of the Americans.” //// Baptist minister Brian Kaylor said, “Yesterday I wrote about DHS’s war on Christmas as they co-opt this holy season to justify anti-immigrant polices. Well, Department of Herod Security has a new video doing this, suggesting Christmas is about Jesus *and* Trump’s America.” “That’s *not* what Christmas is about,” he further added. “The Savior born to all the world didn’t come to celebrate the ‘miracle‘ of a human empire.”

Woooohaaaaaaa scorched! There’s nothing like being told you are wrong by people who know. But will she notice? Heh. Stupid question, right? It’s actually frustrating to watch her nonsense because she is cruel and cold and thinks she needs to be ICE-ing for the good of America. She is so, so wrong. But Trump addicts have to do what he says, no matter how inane and brutal it is. Why won’t they open their eyes to the real truth, not the Truth Social kind of truth? They want money and fame, and they had best be saving the money because they are going to have seriously limited opportunities when they finally get kicked to the curb.

Editor Jonathan ‘Boo and Vote’ Cohn added, “Christian nationalism in a tweet.” //// Typos of the New York Times, a self-identified appellate lawyer, wrote, “When the government blatantly violates the Establishment Clause by social media post, what is the remedy a court orders, deletion?” //// Former diplomat Laura Kennedy said, “I am a Christian. I am also a proud American because our laws were designed to prohibit a national religion.” “Actually, this DHS official video (where even kids have guns) isn’t quite definitive that the savior we ‘share‘ is Jesus rather than Trump,” she added. //// Local Dem official Dave McCarver said, “The soulless goons who run the DHS have no reason to celebrate the birth of Jesus as they rip families apart and terrorize refugees.”

WHAM. This message of hers really didn’t consider the separation of church and state. She didn’t *say* that Trump is our Savior reborn in the flesh. (Good gods, imagine waking up in that body!) Apparently, his cabinet says he is god and cannot see their hypocrisy. They’re expecting a big payout and a big-name somewhere who can afford them. Can’t wait to see what happens when that bubble bursts.

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
