I can’t cover everything in the news, but please read anyhow.

Kash has inherited a big mess on his first day in the office. I don’t know if I would call wanting to change the window coverings and carpets that are in the office “dingy” part of the mess. That’s just personal preference since, at his confirmation, he walked back moving everyone out of the building and turning it into a museum. I can’t say there would be much to put in this museum since so much of the work being done by the FBI is classified.

There was already a conflict between Emil Bove, acting deputy attorney general, and the FBI’s acting leaders, Brian Driscoll and Robert Kissane, who Bove had installed. Bove demanded a list of more than 5,000 employees, mostly those associated with the January 6 issue. This has blown back on Bove, making Pash’s first week far more difficult than it was originally thought to be. And a plan to fire more than 100 mid and senior employees also blew up in this standoff.

So Patel needs to sort this out sooner rather than later. I do know that he was among the list of leaders that told his people not to answer Leon sKum’s email. I hate to have to say it but I was really damn proud of him for doing so. They don’t need to be wasting time with questionnaires and miss something that might lead to something big. I strongly dislike the man, although I have to wait and see if he starts knocking off his enemies from the list we know damn well he has.

Did you know this was *not* a bipartisan confirmation? I didn’t know that I can remember. And I wish some Republicans had been strong-willed enough to say no. But after confirming Tulsi and RFK Jr, not really a surprise. Are they more loyal to the Mango Mandarin, or to the positions and organizations they lead? I don’t know enough to guess right now. I think we’ll see once the Confused Carrot asks them to do something blatant, and then what their actual action is. I seriously expect one of them to jump to attention for him.

This is a big organization for him to ruin … er … run. He should get the lay of the land and how things work right now before making drastic changes. I would expect the FBI has a panel of top advisors to bring information to Patel, and discuss possible actions with him. He can’t expect to know it all his first day, much as he might want to. How smart is he really? I hadn’t even thought about that part of the appointees that tRump has in his Cabinet. That’s embarrassing for me!

So there you have a short section of what Kash intends to do at the FBI. There’s more but that’s for another time. Let’s see what happens!

*****And now, please read a very special request from our awesome boss******

Friends, we thank you if you have already donated. If you have not, and are able, we use the donations to pay the overhead until our traffic gets back up to normal again. Everything crashed after November 5, which is why you see people like Joy Reid getting fired and Jim Acosta resigning. We are at war in this country. Truth v. Lies. This blog will always bring you the truth as long as we have internet access and Kash Patel doesn’t carry us off. I have no idea how bizarre things could get. Truly I don’t. But we’re in it together. Ursula
