The timing of this could not be better in terms of ruining Donald Trump’s night. He is supposed to be playing Father Of The Bride, and let’s just say that Spencer Tracy he is not. This will crush the night. And I for one am howling.

Trump, naturally, started with his nonsense over on Truth Social about fraud, bla bla.

It is all just bouncing off right now. Trump has cried wolf with this and nobody wants to hear it — except for comic relief, and even for those purposes, this is getting old.

We can all breathe easy now and celebrate.

I stand with my prediction that Raphael Warnock will cruise to victory because Republican enthusiasm in Georgia will be depressed and right now the Democrats are on such a high, they will be pouring out to the polls to reelect Warnock.

Walker is the last of the Four Horsemen Of The Trumpocalypse to go down in flames, behind Mehmet Oz, Blake Masters, and Adam Laxalt. I can’t wait to see it.

The Senate news broke around 9:30 p.m. I hope Trumpty didn’t throw the wedding cake into the pool or pee in the punchbowl.

Help keep the site running, consider supporting.

    • When he is good and goddamn ready, like always. These political games were never part of his but the embarrassing losses of this last week WILL make it much easier.

  1. You’re a far better writer than I am so I’m hesitant to suggest you made an error but are you sure you didn’t mean to say “Four HORSES ASSES of the Trumpocalypse”?

  2. Something just occurred to me. It makes keeping up enthusiasm in GA and getting Warnock re-elected more important that people realize. Yes, we have control of the Senate with the VP as the tie breaker but as when it happened before there’s a sort of agreement that gives the GOP a bit more say in things than would be the case with fifty one Senators. Having fifty one actual Senators means Schumer has complete control over committee representation and some procedural stuff. If you recall, McConnell tried to play games before when Schumer proposed the same “power sharing” agreement with the GOP having the upper hand. McConnell tried to play games and Schumer PUBLICLY called his bluff and McConnel backed down. With the addition of Warnock for a full term Schumer can look McConnel in the eye and tell him to go fuck himself. WE would hold control over Senate rules and operating procedures during the next Congress and if the GOP doesn’t like it they can’t do a fucking thing about it IF we make sure Warnock wins!

    • WHEN Warnock wins, Denis. I will be doing my part to make that happen, but I will be far from alone. Had it not been for the idiotic Georgia runoff law, this would already be over in our favor. As it stands, Warnock is about to serve up to Walker what Petola did Palin in Alaska, a second loss right behind the first.

      • WHEN doesn’t happen if we all don’t join you in working to ensure Warnock wins. The fact it was even close is a sad commentary on that state, which like others think heaven is seeing their state’s COLLEGE football team win “bigly” in game after game all day long. Walker was recruited because of two things – he was (and remains) an icon with Georgia football fans AND he is a black MAN. That means even a number of black guys voted for him! All because college football is a form on religion in certain southern states (in particular) with Georgia being one of those states. What I’m saying is we can’t take this for granted. If Democrats let up even a little it could prove devastating. And, as I noted in another comment having 51 actual Senators instead of relying on VP Harris to break tie votes matters. She can ONLY do so on actual legislation. But when it comes to the operating rules and procedures the Senate will have (and that techincal stuff matters) in the next Congress she’s on the sidelines. Having fifty-one instead of only fifty Senators means McConnell won’t have any leverage with Schumer like he did last time. So Warnock winning is huge for us. Not to mention the pleasure of kicking the GOP in the gonads when they are already hurting.

        • Does the fact that I’m getting involved in this sound like I’m taking my preferred outcome for granted? In the meantime, as mentioned above, the fact that Warnock got more votes the first go-around likely means he’ll have all the votes he needs to bring this home so long as everyone puts in the work…which…they…will. And bonus points, with all the other races put to bed, the DNC will be able to laser-focus its resources on the runoff.

Lamenting how things aren’t different should be strictly left to those MAGA assholes across the way. An inch or a mile, a win remains a win. And complaining how heavy the rock is does nothing to make it lighter. You just keep on lifting with all the help you can get.

  3. oat all this from outside, it seems to me that, while the Democrats have, on paper, the majority, it overlooks the Munchkin and Sinerama.
They may have 51 Senators but that’s no guarantee of complete control, especially as Sinerama will vote as her corporate sponsors tell her and the Munchkin will, almost certainly vote against anything that may affect his coal mining profits
