[Disclaimer: This one is longer than standard for me.]
Our hopes have been dashed, and our fears have come out of the shadows into the light. Trump really did it. Well, not exactly Trump, a division of the US, but we can be sure he endorsed it. Dammit, it’s happened. What the hell is our country doing? We have idiot, hungry, leaders, movers, and shakers. It’s started, and we need to be PISSED. Many thanks to CNN:
The CIA carried out a drone strike earlier this month on a port facility on the coast of Venezuela, sources familiar with the matter told CNN, marking the first known US attack on a target inside that country. The drone strike, the details of which have not been previously reported, targeted a Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua to store drugs and move them onto boats for onward shipping, the sources said. No one was present at the facility when it was struck, so there were no casualties, according to the sources.
Well, they didn’t kill anyone in that strike, so we should be grateful for small favors, right? But they killed two in a boat strike today. This isn’t deterrence. This is worse than that. Now the US is hitting targets on land, not just killing helpless people in boats. Seriously, the people on those boats are outpowered, outgunned, out-everything. They’re on small wooden boats, likely with a standard outboard motor. Our military is using them for target practice. How do they sleep at night?
But there’s a wee bit of good news coming out of this dock strike action. And by the way, how did the *CIA* do something like this? How did they get supposed military help to take this action? And why aren’t people’s asses being thoroughly kicked? *ahem* moving along to that good news…
One of the sources said the strike was successful in that it destroyed the facility and its boats, but described it as largely symbolic since it is just one of many port facilities used by drug traffickers leaving Venezuela. It also appeared to attract little to no attention, even inside the country, in real time.
Heh. Waste of time and money right there. They are trying to push the US into a ridiculous, unnecessary war with Venezuela. Once again, it’s a war we do not need, and we need to keep our military right where they are! How many places have been left open with the buildup of forces around Venezuela? I seem to remember our biggest aircraft carrier is there. If not an aircraft carrier, the biggest of something else we have. (Feel free to correct me.) There are many more important things they need to do rather than try to start a war over ridiculousness! And a reminder that Venezuela is known for cocaine, not fentanyl. That’s from somewhere *completely* different. Yea, our “president” has lost his mind.
The Trump administration has offered varying justifications for the campaign in Venezuela, which has involved a massive buildup of military assets in the Caribbean. Officials have pointed to a counter-narcotics imperative, but Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles told Vanity Fair in an interview that the boat strikes were aimed at getting Maduro to “cry uncle.” The Venezuelan leader has shown no signs of relinquishing power.
Therefore, in order to make Maduro give up, we are killing likely innocent people out in the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean. But no one ever talks about that. They’re combatants in a (supposed) war on drugs for something that doesn’t come out of their country. Remember all the fentanyl accusations of it coming from Canada? And the amount was beyond minuscule. Soooo, how do they know these relatively tiny boats are transporting anything besides fish? Let’s close with something from Petey Boy, since he’s been relatively quiet lately.
Top officials have made clear publicly and in briefings to lawmakers that they intend to continue targeting suspected drug smugglers using a similar playbook to the one used for killing terrorists during the global war on terror – a campaign in which the CIA played a crucial role, too. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has openly compared drug traffickers to al Qaeda. “These narcoterrorists are the al Qaeda of our hemisphere,” the secretary said at the Reagan National Defense Forum earlier this month. “And we are hunting them with the same sophistication and precision that we hunted al Qaeda.”
Heh. Note: they said “Secretary of Defense,” not “Secretary of War.” Someone’s fee-fees are going to be hurt if he notices, which is highly unlikely. Narcoterrorists in small boats. Right. He didn’t mention we lost people hunting al-Qaeda. If we get into a ground war with Venezuela, we’re going to lose people under a “president” who thinks he is a god and can do what he wants. Nothing could be further from the truth. Trump doesn’t rule the world. He doesn’t rule America, not like he thinks he does. He’s only a “president”. Remember, No Kings, Trump. No Kings.

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money, especially around the holidays. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

This is foreign relations, tRump style. He will either tell allies to buzz off, kiss up to dictators or arm twist them into submission with tariffs or attacks. That seems to be his playbook.
Indeed that seems to be his playbook. What a bunch of hooey! And you’d never believe I did this story at 2 in the morning because I was so pissed when I found out the news. Dementia baby is dementia. For more baby fun, watch for my first column of Tuesday 😉 😉 😉
Venezuela is way over 47’s head. He has no idea what he is dragging us into. I had my extreme experiences in Venezuela involving escape form detention and from attempted murder by the oil mafia and as much as Maduro disgusts me I am against intervention in this independent country. And I had my experiences with the CIA and as disturbing their history is I don’t think they are happy with 47’s oil grabbing distraction from Epstein mindset.
BTW the Department of State just published this;
Disrupting Iran’s UAV Proliferation to Venezuela and Iran’s Weapons Programs
https://www.state.gov/releases/office-of-the-spokesperson/2025/12/disrupting-irans-uav-proliferation-to-venezuela-and-irans-weapons-programs/
“Today, the United States is sanctioning ten entities and individuals based in Iran and Venezuela. These designations include a Venezuelan company that has contributed to the sale of millions of dollars’ worth of Iranian designed combat unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), and entities and individuals linked to procurement networks that have supported Iran’s UAV and ballistic missile programs. Iran’s ongoing provision of conventional weapons to Caracas is a threat to U.S. interests in our region.”
So Maduro has drones too probably.
And then there is China.
