He said WHAT??!!!???!!!!!

He should have kept his mouth shut. He should have stayed “on script”.

tRump really needs to not broadcast everything to the world, except, as we all know, he doesn’t think, so we never know what’s going to come out of his mouth. I’m not sure we will be able to recover from the latest. “We don’t have very good security”. He said this when speaking about computer related things, like, for Treasury, which is a critical part of the US. He talked about this in a PRESS CONFERENCE. How many hackers in how many countries are rubbing their hands together with glee and getting ready to test the truth of that statement??

I don’t think we will be able to catch them all, especially the smaller things. We don’t seem to have the capability to protect ourselves from hackers very well, and we should, especially with how much we do online these days. (Look at the latest one from China.) I’m paranoid enough to be somewhere prepared for this, but how many people aren’t? How many places in the US have more than one layer of security? We likely will catch some of the bigger things. That‘s something, at least. But how many people and places don’t have enough? How much of our high-level infrastructure is actually protected? Actually, it’s been a long, long time since I did any coding, so things may have changed, I hope.

And think about how many of E-yawn’s people *won’t* try to push the limits. If they are actually coders, as we think, read only access might not mean much to them. They take what’s official then dig in further. We already have divisions that have been ruined by them (see USAID). We ought to prepare for more, a LOT more. All this haphazard expansive cutting is putting our country in a world of hurt. And we do not need people romping through divisions of government with sensitive information. I don’t need to some young kid handling my Social Security number, or my driver’s license, because think about what could be done with just that. Then you add in the rest of the people in the US, and NO, keep them out!!

With any luck, which we don’t seem to have much of these days, Homeland Security and other sections should have been put on alert. They might be able to catch things. They might be able to make our defenses more complex. They might have eyes watching 24/7. I don’t know exactly what can be done and don’t actually want to, because I do not have a security clearance, nor do I want one. Those bring too much stress with them. Plus, I can’t think of any skill I would have that’s suitable for a position that would require a clearance. I might have tried once or twice before, but now? Nope. I’m too old for that shizzle.

So not only is the Confused Carrot (and also hello Elon) putting our country in a world of hurt, we just issued an open invitation to other countries to see what they can do. Let’s just make things infinitely worse. Actually, let’s not. I hope. Funny how much I’ve been using “hope” lately. It seems to be all I, or we? have left.
