Apparently, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr is regressing to the days of the MAGA Cult, and my reaction is “ICK”. He’s wearing a pin of tRump’s head on his lapel, instead of an American flag. What the hell is up with that? There’s loyalty and then there’s creepy. This falls under creepy. *I* wouldn’t wear such a thing in public, but MAGA sycophants would, and may do. Is he trying to lead the “Ministry of MAGA Propaganda” to show his loyalty? I hope this doesn’t give Agent Orange any ideas, because MAGA is generally not so bright, and they definitely would wear this pin loud and proud to show their devotion to their god.
From Atlanta Black Star: “Carr posed for the camera in the halls of Congress, right beneath the official House seal, proudly showing off the pin where most policymakers typically display the American flag – a silent swap that put symbolism over substance while highlighting the shameless fealty shown to Trump, especially by appointees and members of his Cabinet.” What??!! But wait, there’s more! “And for those wondering if the golden image of Trump was just a one-time flex by Carr, rest assured, it was everything but: He’s posted the Trump-head pin multiple times on X, apparently convinced that replacing the national emblem with the face of his favorite president was just good branding.” Yea, right.
Suffice it to say, the readers made their responses *very* clear, and it’s glorious! From Atlanta Black Star, again: “Some real pick me energy with your big shiny Trump pin,” one user jabbed in another post, showing Carr beaming with the pin on full display. Another person offered Carr some wardrobe advice: “Disgusting idiot, you have no integrity, why not pin that damn badge on your forehead.” One user summed up the backlash in a scathing post: “How insane is it to wear a Trump pin like you’re his fan club president? Are you 12? Are you ethically challenged?”
But this has echoes of oppressive regimes, where face pins are less of a fashion statement, and more a matter of survival. Example using one of Traitor Tot’s heroes: “North Korea, for instance, has made miniature portraits of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-un practically mandatory.” Oof. I could see the Mango Mandarin Messiah doing something like this as our country slides into authoritarianism. I wouldn’t be able to wear one because it would burst into flames when I touched it.
Again, from Atlanta Black Star: “The resemblance wasn’t lost on critics, who saw this kind of hero-worship creeping dangerously close to authoritarian cosplay in American politics, unlike ever before. The White House tried to brush it off. “Obviously, we did not order officials to wear this pin. If they choose to wear one, it is to show support for the greatest President in history,” an unnamed official told Yahoo News.” It was the kind of statement that accidentally confirmed the entire point. Indeed, it does. “Carr has not commented on the backlash, but Trump’s golden head had already spoken for itself. At a time when loyalty to Trump was under heavy criticism in Democratic circles, the pin felt less like a personal statement and more like a snapshot of the current climate in Washington, with Republicans showing no resistance to Trump’s agenda, and symbolism playing a direct role in staying in Trump’s good graces. Carr’s pin offers more than just isolated quirks — they show a party increasingly shaped by one man’s image, both literally and legislatively.”
This is absolutely getting ridiculous. Right now, it’s humorous, so we’ll keep it that way. Democrats are on the move! We will do our damndest to keep our country as a democracy, a land of the free. I’m not going to be stomped on for this. WE won’t be stomped on. But laughing? We can do that, and I know we will.
*****And now, please read a very special request from our awesome boss******
Zoomers, we feel guilty asking for cash, but if you can spare a small amount, it will keep us trekking through cyberspace. Many hands make light work, many small contributions add up to enough. And most of all, we thank you for coming here to read. Ursula

Humorous, no. Nauseating, yes. Especially the words from their mouths, justifying it.
I was trying for humor so I didn’t scream. The worst part is the words coming from their cult mouths, I agree.
Not humorous at all, I fear. Given Trumpler’s promised vendetta(s) against various media who have the temerity to speak/write/show the truth about his corrupt regime, having the honcho of the FCC so far up Trump’s colorful ass is scary. ABC caved to a Trump frivolous lawsuit and CBS is possibly facing one of its own; a bent FCC can exert real pressure on the owners of said media empires to toe the MAGAt party line. Never has freedom of speech been under such threat as it is under Donald’s venomous, intolerant, unconstitutional aggression.
I felt it would be easier to say if it was humorous. His vendettas are getting worse every day and tRump’s obsession with the media is disturbing. The day might come when he even turns against Fox, and wouldn’t that be poetic justice? You know it’s horrifying when it reaches down to blogs like us. I hope that day never comes. Thank you for what *you* do every day.
Laughing AND pointing
I figured that was better than asking what is WRONG with these people? There’s no easy answer, so for now, it’s a cult thing.
The guy who commented to the newspaper mentioned pinning the badge to his forehead. Got me to thinking about Roger Stone with that huge Nixon tattoo on his back. THEN I recalled a George Carlin routine where he made fun of people trying to look tough by having barbed wire tattooed around their upper arm. Carlin called bullshit and said ‘If you wanna impress me wear actual barbed wire!
Granted, this asshat could have his forehead pierced so he could have a specially modified version of this pin to wear on his forehead BUT that’s not actually permanent. If he wants to impress ME then he needs to have a tattoo artist do a full color tattoo of Trump’s ugly face on his forehead. ORANGE TRUMP Face of course, and that duckass combover hairdo that doesn’t fool anybody. Trumpty is bald (so am I and since my 20s) but spends 45 min having a stylist wrap that overgrown shit on the sides around his head. Maybe it’s all the hairspray to hold it in place that caused his mental decline… Anyway, this guy is just another ‘biglier’ than most Trump ass kisser.
The bust pin of Cheeto on the lapel by the faithful is right in step with his messaging, since he has presented himself as the living embodiment of America for years. So, replacing the usual flag pin with this seems like a natural progression as their leader amps up his attacks on democracy and decency. After all, one can’t be seen as anything but all-in as far as their commitment goes with him, you might find yourself the winner of a one-way ticket to a South American country! They might even photoshop a picture of you wearing a Chicago Bulls hat and a hoodie.
