Good grief, the man is SO good at making a fool of himself. On top of the ones in Ursula’s piece (go read that here), there are more embarrassing things he did. And he’s representing the US? At a very special funeral, because we lost the Pope? Mercy, this is about killing me. So here we go!
It turns out that Trump “invited” himself, though Melania is Catholic, and said they were “looking forward to it!” Today, he said he only went “because of all the Catholics who voted for him.” Good grief! That’s pitiful. He was treating it as an “honor” that he would go, and instead screwed even that up ‘bigly’. The honor should have been his to pay his respects. I’m embarrassed!
From Mirror (UK): “While others were respectful of the gravity of the situation, Trump at times appeared bored and was caught on camera playing with his phone. While First Lady Melania, who is a Catholic, appeared rapt with attention, the same could not be said of her husband. One person commented online: “What’s Donald Trump doing on his phone while attending the Pope’s funeral?” Another added: “At such a time of such a sacred ceremony, Donald Trump doesn’t have enough sense to turn off his phone. He’s distracted. He’s distracting, He’s destructive, praise Lord save us from him.” Save us, indeed. He looked *bored* which is the last thing I would do at such a somber, important event. And playing with his phone? That was caught on CAMERA? Why wasn’t that taken from him?
But not content with that, the US President and First Lady were caught on camera engaging in a brief exchange during the service. A lip-reading expert later worked out what the world leader was saying. Professional Nicola Hickling told The Express, tRump said: “I’ll go over and speak to him.” To which Melania replied with a swift ‘side eye’ but did not verbally acknowledge her husband at all during the service. That’s twice in this thing that Melania surprised me. *She* was silent and stayed that way. And as Ursula said, she was wearing *black*.
I saved this one for last. It’s more of the same. Seated close to the leaders of countries facing hefty taxes thanks to his tariff system, Trump was later spotted popping chewing gum into his mouth, more akin to a teenager bored at school than the President of the United States at the funeral of the Pope. A teenager, indeed. He couldn’t even just *listen*. Could someone accidentally throw him off Air Force 1 on the way back? Oh yea, this – he left before burial and got on Air Force One like he was trying to beat the crowd after a football game. And he will probably be at the golf course soon after he gets back (thanks, K!). With any luck, Melania will let him have it. Unlikely, but I can dream. It would probably shock him speechless, but not for long. Pity. He’s such a joke and proves it again every time he leaves the country. I’m going to go crawl under the carpet now. Yes, I’m *that* embarrassed. Damn.

😳 The lines of people who passed by the Pope’s body lying in state, in an open casket, this week were mostly well-behaved, but many of them showed some real Trump-level class by taking selfies with the dead body. 😎😱 Was there a TikTok challenge? “Here I am with the Dead Body of the Vicar of Christ! I’m the newest, best social media influencer…monetize me!” Ka-ching! 💰
But I don’t know those people and the reputation of my nation doesn’t depend on those individuals! Trump also took off from the funeral fast without waiting for the burial…like he was beating the crowds getting out of the parking lot after a football game! He was in a huge hurry to get back on Air Force One because “he forgot to get Melania a present for her birthday on Sunday, which they will not spend together, but he gave her a ‘romantic’ dinner on the plane!” Sure, he was in a hurry for Melania’s sake. What a delight!
When they exited the plane in New Jersey, Trump was walking toward his helicopter (gotta play golf!!) when someone prompted him to go back toward Melania’s limo to give her a peck on the cheek before she went home to New York! Such a loving husband!!
💩 The whole day was a reminder of what an embarrassment he is to family, funerals, and the USA!! Make America Gag Again!! 🤮🤢🤡🤬

What does one expect from him? Dignity – no. Interity – no. Stupidity – yes. Egotisitical – yes. None of what he did that day is surprising. Even his meeting with Zelensky.
