Just in time for their 30th Anniversary and the NFL opener, Nike just announced that Colin Kaepernick, former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, will be the new face of their ‘Just Do It’ campaign.

Kaepernick, who started the movement to kneel during the United States national anthem to protest racial injustice in August 2016. At the time, he told NFL media, “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.  To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March 2017 and hasn’t been able to find a new gig since…UNTIL NOW!  Thanks to Nike for supporting someone who will stand up for what is right!! (let’s work on those Nike sweatshops next…)!

How awesome is THAT?  And is it wrong to love something even more because you KNOW it will piss someone else off? ‘Cause you know the Orange Asshole is gonna be hella mad about this!!

Almost looking forward to the late night ravings of Trump about this one.
