Boebert Cut Her Own Throat Voting Pro-Kevin. MAGA Lets Her Know

The dust is settling after today’s H-bomb exploded in the House of Representatives. Kevin McCarthy is no more. The GOP is now the Gaetz Owned Party and Patrick McHenry is temporarily the House Speaker until the House gets its bearings and gets somebody else in the spot. Part of the dust settling is learning that MAGA is less than thrilled with Lauren Boebert. Seems she went over to the Dark Side (again, from a MAGA perspective) and is now part of the Uniparty.

Boebert didn’t vote for McCarthy to be removed. She used to be hardcore MAGA. She was considered to be Matt Gaetz’ good right arm after he severed ties with Marjorie Taylor Greene. Now, evidently, Nancy Mace has taken the spot that Boebert used to occupy in Gaetz world. This is stupid on Boebert’s part. Why? Because she needs every MAGA vote she can get. She’s not going to get moderate or Independent votes after her Beetlejuice debacle. She alienated more than 500 people in that theater that night and that’s the margin that she narrowly squeaked to a victory with in 2022. Adam Frisch is going to clean her clock in 2024 and she sees it coming.

Raju: You would vote to oust the speaker?

Boebert: That isn't what we're talking about right now.

Raju: Gaetz has said that—

This is the New Bobo, certainly not an improvement over the old. She’s backpedaling now and hoping that she’ll somehow seem credible as an actual legislator. She decided to go with the Republican majority and vote “No” on removing McCarthy. She reminds me of the gal in The Stand, who finds herself in the desert with Satan and says, “NOOO!” and Satan, in the persona of Randall Flagg replies, “No? Oh, it’s wayyyy too late for that.” So was your “no” vote, Bobo, so was yours.

“The people of Colorado will not forget this,” said @SpaceCrypto, a verified account saying that says its administrator likes MAGA, bitcoin and weed.

“Boebert: ‘I too am frustrated by the broken promises, secret deals, and failed leadership.’ Also Boebert: ‘I support the person selling us out,'” said another verified account, @BachelorJoker, whose owner claims to live in Arkansas.

“Too late. You blew it. It’s going to be very difficult for you to recover from this. You betrayed your base,” raged X user Mark Watson who then began promoting Trump for speaker.

Texan Lisa Alexander proclaimed, “Done with you.”

Hostilities continued, with some exclaiming, “Sell out!” or “You lost … and the people are for Matt Gaetz.”

“We trusted you, Lauren. I’m so disappointed,” said another person.

“Wow! Turn coat sell out” the accusations continued. “You flip you’ll flop.”

“Just say it. They got to you,” a conspiracy theorist posed.

And the inevitable: “You blew it…. something you’re very good at doing.”

You can afford to piss off some of the people some of the time but you can’t afford to piss off practically everybody most of the time. And that’s what Bobo has done. And what’s more comical still, I always thought Boebert had a career post-politics in evangelical television. The fact that she was canceled by the Texas Youth Summit crowd, who met this past week, puts the kibosh on that.

I guess it’s back to slinging pitchers of beer, Bobo and serving sliders. Try not to poison anybody if you do manage to get another restaurant license. You’re welcome.
