Chris Matthews has made some mistakes in his career, most damning of which, in my estimation, is behaving like a sexist boor when GQ columnist Laura Bassett appeared on his show in 2016 and was subjected to an outrageously clumsy and undoubtedly humiliating flirtation which, to my knowledge, Matthews has never denied.
Possibly worse, he voted for George W. Bush.
But Chris, flawed as he is, has forgotten more about American politics than most of the ravening hyenas who call themselves journalists and who are now calling for the scalp of President Biden ever knew.
He was a speechwriter for Jimmy Carter during Carter’s time in the Whitehouse and remains one of Carter’s staunchest defenders.
In the 1980’s he served as an aide to Democratic House Speaker Tip O’Neill and likely acquired a lot of his political acumen from that seasoned pol.
His love for John Kennedy and Barack Obama made him the butt of many jokes in Republican circles, jerks who could only wish to have such heroes.
Today he appeared on MSNBC to explain to the chattering “elites” calling for Biden to step down why the man from Scranton, who has given his life to public service and suffered so much heartache along the way is not going anywhere, will not give up this fight for America’s future, will persevere as he always has and will win in November and gain his detractors’ votes… and make them like it:

The Senators I’ve seen come out against Biden are Joe Manchin Light and fools. If anyone puts Trump back in power it will be them and BOM. The fucking Republicans keep shooting themselves in the foot every day, but these Turn Coat Democrats keep the focus on themselves and their bogus opinions.
I’d like to say one more thing. We have no guarantees in this world. The Turn Coats know nothing for sure and like Republicans, have nothing but undefined solutions. There only solution is to spit on the voters and force Biden to quit. Who wants to vote for a bunch of quitters? Who would want to vote for a turn coat and quitter? These Senators may have screwed Biden in another way by getting their own asses beat in November, and it won’t be Biden’s fault.
I think this piling on of Biden will just make Americans that aren’t zombie Republicans even more fired up to vote for Biden and I hope all other Democrats.
Everyone needs to stop listening to right-wing MAGApublican propaganda. There are no problems with President Biden’s physical or mental health. The same cannot be said of a certain ORANGE CONVICTED FELON! We also need to stop listening to media outlets that no longer care about honest journalism, only fear-mongering to try to get the most attention, and make the most money!
