Okay, so what’s wrong with this picture? The first thing that’s highly worrying is that the Doomsday Plane was spotted out and about. One would think that it was a highly guarded secret. Well, apparently not. And the second, that’s not as worrying, substantially *less* worrying, is WTAF was *Hegseth* doing flying around in it? It can’t be a cheap plane to fly because the costs add up quickly. It just can’t. And then, well, you’ll see shortly. Thanks to Raw Story:
An aircraft specifically designed to survive a nuclear disaster and carry President Donald Trump was seen landing at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Thursday night — and reports indicate Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and MAGA influencer Laura Loomer were apparently on it. The Boeing E-4 Advanced Airborne Command Post “Doomsday plane” dubbed “Nightwatch” landed just before 7 p.m. Pacific time and set off a firestorm online as people questioned what it was doing there, TMZ reported. Video reshared by Hegseth showed him participating in a drill Friday morning at UCLA, running on a track with the school’s ROTC group. Loomer, who was recently added to the Defense Department press corps, wrote on X Thursday that she was also joining the flight to California in a video in front of the aircraft.
Hegseth and Loco Loomer. Wonderful. Neither one of them should be on that plane or know anything about its interior. Well, okay, we don’t know what the hell the back story was. But the peanut gallery here thinks so. You could maaaaaaybe stretch having Hegseth on it. But Loomer? Oh hell no! That is not a civilian airplane! (And mercy, she’s in the Pentagon Press Corp now? This is a recipe for disaster. A pretty big disaster, too.) That woman, UGH. You already know my opinion of Petey Boy.

The landing happened while Santa Ana wind gusts slammed the South California region and was captured by Airline Videos Live on X, which shared the following: “What’s believed to be the first appearance in its 51-year flying history, the Boeing 747 E-4B Nightwatch, also known as the ‘Doomsday Plane,’ showed up at LAX during Thursday’s Airline Videos Live broadcast and will most likely be the highlight of 2026!”
If I flail any more about this, my arms might fall off. Was this a joyride? Did the pilots need air hours? Why in the HELL was LOOMER on that thing? She …. No words can really describe her. Creepy will have to do. Yes, I’m just armchair military thanks to my brother and our very own Denis, but jeez, this seems so WRONG. First appearance *ever*. Pissed, angry, *angry*.

Even if it could be considered a flying Pentagon, which I’m *very* unsure of, it still doesn’t mean it should be out and about. Why are these two taking what appears to be a joyride in the thing? Y’know, I do try to keep personal stuff out of my columns, but this is bugging me. I can see no reason why that plane should have been seen *anywhere*. Please accept my apologies for everything from me. No matter what kind of nonsense they spout about why it was out, it had *never* been seen before. That’s a HUGE error. Think of how many countries have seen it now. (Yes, exactly.) The world isn’t exactly our friend these days. Now they know what to look for. That worries me. But what do I know?

This is what happens when batshit crazy numpties are put in charge of the once-greatest nation. They’re all about the power and the shiny things. This is a combination of both, so these self-obsessed crazies can’t help themselves – they’re showing off.
It’s… no, I can’t think of a word for it. One word won’t suffice; it requires a combination of words. Every word in your article works.
That it was deployed on a training mission isn’t something to fret about. Yes, a plane like that is expensive to fly and operate but it’s critical to ensure air and ground crews get practice with enacting training scenarios. From the ground certain situations can be simulated for which the aircraft has to address, communications and incredibly sophisticated communications systems must be tested etc.
Even Hegesth being on the flight isn’t as crazy as it sounds – except for the fact he’s SecDef in the first place. For an asshat like him it was pretty much little more than a joyride. I’m sure he was WAY more into getting “cool” pictures and videos of himself than playing his assigned role in any training scenario. And hell, the folks a President would count on probably didn’t want him involved in actual and crucial WORK either. Those trainings are limited in number and each minute is precious. From generals down to personnel who are low ranking the LAST person they’d want looking over their shoulder and telling them how awesome HE was and that they weren’t shit compared to him!
For those who don’t know, when a “we are in a nuclear war situation” war game takes place the ONE person who doesn’t take part is whomever is President. His (and someday her) top people including the SecDef take part or have their top deputy do so but it’s believed to be a national security risk for anyone to know what decisions a President would make in a given scenario. That’s something that gets debated but that’s always been the policy.
So, don’t freak out that Hegseth was on the flight except for the fact he’s freaking SecDef and would if at all possible on the plane if “shit got real.” When he was told he’d be taking the flight he probably did think of it the way you say – as a ‘cool’ “joyride.”
What truly ASTOUNDS me is that he allowed LOOMER to tag along. WTF? That’s just batshit insane. She’s crazy enough and has enough on her record in normal circumstances she wouldn’t have clearance to even have a basic Pentagon press credential!
