We live in a world where if you want to see drop dead funny political satire, don’t bother going to SNL. Just watch right-wing media and the characters that show up there. What is on the GOP ticket these days, like Rachel Hamm who is roommates with Jesus (he lives in the closet, a real low maintenance kinda guy), Kelly Tshibaka, who hears voices, and our all time favorite Miss Gazpacho Police and Marshall Law herself, is Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Marge is more than a wee bit annoyed these days. She didn’t like having to go on the witness stand last week. Marge can’t be bothered with such trifles.

And Marge really, I mean really, didn’t like it when Karl Rove had the audacity to suggest that she and Matt Gaetz were in their own little world and “couldn’t cause a blip” in the party. That did it.

We’re going to find out in November. Greene ran unopposed last time and that’s a sure fire way to win an election, no question about that. But she’s not running unopposed this time and her Democratic challenger, Marcus Flowers, has been raising quite a war chest.

If you missed her Marshall Law text to Mark Meadows, let me share that with you.

I have actually met a few embarrassingly stupid people in business, but it never, ever occurred to me that one of them might end up in the halls of Congress, let alone several of them, let alone at the same time.

  1. **Sinister Laughter** Oh, poor little Gangrene…so comically unaware that Rove made the likes of HER possible.

Think back to the 2000s, friends, when Rove made his really stupid quote about America being an empire now and how we create our own reality (Melissa Creogher preserved that one for all time in her Rasputina track “The Question Of Time”). Then Iraq went to hell, Katrina happened, followed by the Great Recession. In desperation, assholes like Rove came up with the Tea Party, which eventually gave Trump the support he needed.

So…Gangrene and her ilk are very much Rove’s bastard children politically.

  2. The republicans like saying they are ‘the party of business’.

‘A few embarrassingly stupid people in business’ have always had somewhere to go.

    • Isn’t interesting how the last two GOPers who’ve managed to turn their “business experience” into a Presidential term have been two of the worst Presidents in all of history?

Dubya, at least, did have some time as Governor of Texas (even with that job’s relative weak position) for his resume but Trump didn’t even have that much.

And neither man’s “business experience” was really all that meaningful. Dubya pretty much failed (and rather publicly) with virtually every business he attempted while Trump managed to hide his failures (except for the bankruptcies–including the spectacular fail of a casino) behind a veil of secrecy that managed to rival the Wizard of Oz’s famous curtain.
