The Dotard’s speech in Derry, New Hampshire yesterday offered a veritable cornucopia of the crazy, including – and this is by no means a comprehensive list – his comparing himself to Nelson Mandela, who was was locked away in a 7’x 9’ cell for 27 years by the apartheid government of South Africa; his observation that Hungarian strong-man Victor Orban is actually, according to his stable geniousness, the leader of Turkey; claims that he won New Hampshire twice while running for President when he, in fact, lost it both times; and his incredible assertion that his MAGA voters need not show up in the 2024 election because he would have “plenty” of votes.
I hope they all were listening to that bit.
But my personal favorite among the shards of fractured cerebral cortex that he lavished on his Freedom-Staters was his learned evaluation of CNN’s coverage of President Joe Biden’s recent speech on the situation in Israel and Gaza, which most sane pundits acknowledge as one of the best of his career, but which drumpf confused as a State-of-the-Union address. The kicker here is that CNN favorably compared Joe’s speech to the oratory of FDR, which doubtless sent the Orangeutan scurrying for the Cliffs Notes that General Mattis had prepared for him.
But my favorite part of my favorite part was when the idiot blah-blahed a portion of FDR’s Pearl Harbor speech and… of course… his ultimate summation of Roosevelt’s oratory style.
“He sat.”
