I’m glad I didn’t hear about this crap until I saw a story where it was being debunked. However, it seems in RWNJ circles earlier this month someone got the bright idea to circulate a story that Trump prop son Barron gave up his first class seat to an elderly Veteran. It would be a classy thing to do. However those of us connected to reality know Class and anything Trump related are light years apart. While this claim made its way around Trump/MAGA world it was utter bullshit from the start.
My first gut reaction was it couldn’t be true because what the hell would Barron Trump be doing flying commercial in the first place. THAT alone should have given anyone pause. However, good old Snopes decided to look into this claim. When they call bullshit on something you can take it to the bank and yes, they called bullshit on this nonsense. Not that MAGAs will care. To them this will be part of the “Gospel of Trump” and the internet being what it is will live forever. Nauseating, but that’s how things are in the digital age.
In any case here are the details. As I’ve stated a story began circulating in Dec. 2024 that young Barron gave up a ‘First Class’ seat to an elderly veteran. It made the rounds in MAGA world because it seemed like such a good thing to do (and if true it would have been) and was accepted without question. It generated lots of positive comments from MAGAs about Barron being a good guy, having been ‘raised right’ and so on. One comment was pretty over the top: “He was taught the right way how to honor veterans and to respect all,” Sure dude. His dad calls us Veterans “suckers and losers”, and when his eldest son once petulantly threatened (it’s not like Don Jr. would have actually DONE it) threatened to go into the military Trump threatened to disown him. And you know all the other crap Trump has said about service. All the insults and denigration. Melania feels the same way I’m sure. And bear in mind not one single member of Trump’s family going back to his grandparent’s generation has served a single day in uniform. NOT ONE.
Anyway this whole thing apparently came from some outfit I’ve never heard of and hope to never hear of again – Elite Stories. Sure, it sounds like a great human interest story, especially if you’re looking to suck up to Trump to boost your profile. (To be fair from what Snopes indicates it’s not a RWNJ site) However as we shall see there were clues staring everyone in the face from the beginning this whole thing might be bogus. I already mentioned my incredulity of Barron Trump flying commercial, even if in First Class. Snopes gives us a more detailed look:
But we found no evidence this incident ever happened. The story originated on Elite Stories and quickly spread to other YouTube accounts (the veteran appeared differently in most video thumbnails), but no credible outlets reported such a story, which would be highly newsworthy.
The video also displayed signs of AI-generation — YouTube flagged it as “altered or synthetic content.”
Oh but that’s not the best part. The video that was circulated and which MAGAs are all aflutter about carries this disclaimer:

Well, well well… MAGAs are creaming their jeans over something the very creator of the content says is bogus! No doubt they will leave out that part as they spread the tale, the LIE they will as they apparently have been doing. In the end though, in case you hear this crap you don’t have to rely on citing Snopes to call bullshit. You can point out the video itself calls bullshit on the story!
Once again, we owe our thanks to Snopes for keeping an eye out for this idiocy. I’m sure there will be plenty more to come.
Ask a t___p-er the difference between fiction and non-fiction and you will get a blank stare.
The real shame is that Barron won’t ever get the chance to show that kind of consideration to anyone, to feel the satisfaction of doing the right thing.
SO FAR, the Trump seeds have born a multitude of putrid results, an occasional exception comes to mind, like Trump’s ignored daughter, but generally, ignorance abounds and the commotion in the back room is the quiet undertow of planning more grift and the next incredibly stupid thing for Trump to do with things he has no idea how they work or who will be hurt by his actions … The tariffs come to mind … The Military had Trump pegged, when they first encountered Trump at his conference table shows of an extremely needy and STUPID beyond beliefs, dumber that a rock waste of our precious Oxygen …
Trump would fail at anything and everything, and yet, here we are again …

If Barron had actually done such a humane/respectful thing wouldn’t it have been a slap in make-up caked face of his old man who actively “avoided” becoming a veteran 5 times?
