I didn’t think it was possible something could match my fury over the mass pardons of the J6 insurrectionist criminals. However Trump did something else last night just as awful. With great fanfare, in addition to publicly ‘dumping’ several other he “fired” Chef Jose Andres, one of the world’s greatest Humanitarians from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. Really Trumpty? Is there actually some shame in you after all? Shame that someone like Chef Jose exists and can play a role in U.S. Politics and the example he sets embarrasses you?
Of course this is Trump we are talking about and there’s no doubting he takes perverse pleasure in inflicting cruelty. The more vulnerable a person or group of people happen to be the easier it is to inflict pain on them. Bad stuff happens all the time and often on a large scale. Whenever and wherever it does, Chef Jose and World Central Kitchen respond. He raises a ton of money, organizes getting resources from food to equipment to cooks/worker to where it’s needed and FEEDS people who would otherwise starve. That he would lend his name to some Council of our government or any other country’s is something any Head of State should be grateful for.
NOT Donald Trump however. Oh hell no. Not for one second does Trumpty want someone like Chef Jose being linked to HIS administration. So, as this article from The Daily Beast Tells us late last night Trumpty made a big show of tossing aside Chef Jose and his work. If the intent was to humiliate the good Chef I’m pretty sure the only one who’s going to wind up humiliated by all this is Donald effing Trump! Trump chose to make a BFD out of the whole thing:
So let me make sure I’ve got this. We have a great humanitarian who raises money and gathers resources and provides for critical needs as in decent meals to suffering people in the U.S. and around the world. Over one hundred million meals last year alone! People who’s world has been devastated. Chef Jose and his people literally feed the hungry and often at great personal risk. Yes, the Chef often goes to these places himself to cook, serve meals and even help at the warehouses! And THAT doesn’t ‘align with Trumpty’s vision?’
This is just sick on Trump’s part. Vile. Despicable. CRUEL. And that my friends is who, by a very slim margin Americans have chosen to allow back into the White House. And who says he will ‘restore our reputation in the world.’ He must be talking about the reputation of ‘What the hell happened to the U.S.? We can’t count on them anymore” of his first four years in office! “Firing” a humanitarian like Chef Jose will hurt more than Trump’s reputation. It’s another signal to the world that America truly has lost it’s way. That instead of being a joke candidate who flames out early in the primaries every four years this country might elevate someone like Trump to the Oval Office. Someone who’s not only incompetent and unqualified but despicable and cruel, just for cruelty’s sake.
This country will endure. But make no mistake – the “American Century” is over. Done. And Trump, with the help of a bunch of voters as whiny and spoiled as he is killed it. We will no longer be the unquestioned leader of the free world. Nor do we deserve to be. It will take I think more than one generation to get us back to having a fair measure of the respect we used to get as a matter of course.
If there’s any good news it’s this: Chef Jose will, over and over again burn Trump’s ass by continuing his work. His mission to help those in need. (You know all you Trumpty worshiping ‘Christians’ – doing the stuff Jesus taught) He doesn’t NEED Trump to keep raising money and inspiring workers to go to places where people are suffering. And feed them. His work will continue. And oh my do I hope that the Meme Makers go to town on Trump as Chef Jose and World Central Kitchen go about helping others. “Where are YOU Donald” should be the theme over and over again.
It just occurred to me there’s one entity that can REALLY burn Trump’s ass over this. There’s an award Trumpty has lusted for the way he’s lusted after his oldest daughter. He’s very bigly pissed about those who’ve been presented this particular honor while he’s been left wanting. Wouldn’t it be awesome if the next recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize was Chef Jose Andres? And some references to his being so unceremoniously cast aside by Trump were to be worked into the announcement?
Well, if someone like Chef Jose doesn’t “align” with Trumpty’s vision we shouldn’t be surprised. People who believe in doing good, and worse who turn that belief into action are the LAST people Trump wants to be associated with. If only we had journalists and major news outlets that would directly, to Trump’s ugly face call him out on this…
Well, I imagine that this morning Chef has received extra millions in donations to continue his humanitarian work….as usually happens when Sphincter Face takes aim at good people!! 🤗
Rump resents anyone who has the vast amount of admiration that Chef Andres has, because he’ll never have it himself. He’s too venal, too selfish/self-centered, too petty to be able earn the world’s admiration. He’s just a mean-spirited loser dressed up as someone important. What a POS!
Hey, now, don’t you go maligning POS’s by comparing them to that despicable showpiece for every characteristic the Christians and most other religions define as evil!

Southerners tend to benefit from Chef Andres every hurricane system. Midwesterners tend to benefit from.his work every time a tornado strikes. And wildfires don’t just happen in California. These are the folks who benefit directly from Chef Andres’ work. Maybe next time when their houses are gone and they’re living in a shelter and have nothing to eat, they’ll recall that the Toddler in Chief fired the guy who would have made sure they had nutritious, good it’s sting food to eat instead of MREs.
Somehow I doubt it.

It’s not just Trump**. There is a large segment of the American people who cannot stand being exposed to real goodness and decency. Carter was not re-elected. Biden was not re-elected. Lincoln was re-elected and almost immediately shot and killed. And, while I don’t have hard evidence for John Quincy Adams (and certainly did not know him personally), I suspect he may have been in that category. Not just because he was an abolitionist – his father was an abolitionist too, and he was widely considered a curmudgeon – but because of two things in his post-Presidency. First, he went back into Congress – not even the Senate, but the House – and he certainly didn’t have to – he just cared about the country, and in fact he died there. The other is that he took on the job of defending the Amistad mutineers, and delivered a powerful speech, which runs to 135 (hand written of course) pages, and which you can still find and read, though it requires slogging through a great deal of the ways our ancestors expressed themselves.) But he didn’t receive the most votes when he was elected President – no one did; Andrew Jackson had a plurality, but it went to the House of Representatives where cooler heads prevailed. And Ouincy only served one term – Jackson defeated him handily four years later. (Jackson was the closest thing we had to Trump** until we had Trump**). Obviously not every one-term President was a saint. But no Pesident was was a candidate for sainthood has ever served more that one term.
