Every morning, I have to wake up and consider what people might find interesting and analyze the topic. Yesterday there was overwhelming interest in DeSantis building up Florida’s own army, and the only “sensible” reason for doing so was to quell protests in response to “obliterating” the federal government “when” the Republicans win in 2024. In fact, the Republicans’ “certainty” that they will win is terrifying. We have had interference in our elections before, and they are convinced the Democrats “stole” the 2020 election. They will find “turnaround” as fair play. They’re owed.
Regardless, back to today. Trump posted the strangest “Trump Painting” I’ve ever seen. We’ve seen many paintings in which Jesus is helping Trump or Trump IS Jesus (and they call themselves Christians) on the cross. Dying for their sins?
But this painting has far more going on. At first look, it’s nothing but a tiny tree being planted outside of the White House by some kids with a whole group watching on. The tree is being planted by a little boy, and a girl holds a pitcher of water. Trump is off to the side with his hand out, like, “See?” Trump is also stepping on the head of a snake. There are various people standing around, a LOT of military people, including a Marine that seems almost to be the focus of the painting, saluting.. the tree?:

So what is really going on here? Well, for one, I doubt Trump fully understands. But the only thing that makes sense to me is that they’re planting “the tree of liberty” (Come on, what else could be of interest in a tree planting outside the White House.) Trump stepping on the head of the snake is the real giveaway. “Don’t tread on me.”
And we all know what the “patriots” say about the “tree of liberty.” It must be watered with blood. The girl is holding a pitcher of water, but this is the planting. It’s later, as Trump oversees things from the White House, that blood will be required.
This is an incredibly weird painting painted by a relatively talented painter who is all in on fighting a war for Trump. The crowd is littered with military people. That’s not an accident. The more I read, the more I see from the MAGAs, and listen to Trump’s little video speeches, and his “The Final Battle” speech at CPAC, the more I’m convinced that not only are the MAGAs going to “war” to put Trump in the White House again (He will lose the popular vote by 10 million this time, that’s my bet), probably by successfully having legislatures appoint Trump electors or not send electors, even when he loses Arizona or Pennsylvania, in order to get the election to the House of Representatives, leaving Democrats in a state of fury over truly having an election really stolen (Remember, they always accuse their opponent of what they’re doing), violence will break out, and it will be ugly.
I think this painting fits right into the “Final Battle” theme that Trump espouses. I don’t think Trump fully understands it, but if he did, that’s the only interpretation that makes any sense. I can’t explain Pence’s presence. I can explain Melania’s absence. It is possible it was painted when Trump was president. But that doesn’t mean that the “repost” now doesn’t convey even more meaning.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it. Maybe I have it just right. That’s a tiny little tree. Trees are meant to grow, most only need water. But this one appears to be saluted… it’s not “just” a tree.

Well, one thing’s really odd about the painting: There are more Black people in the painting than you normally see at any Trump rally. I count 4 definitely with one more possible in the background (the guy wearing the garrison cap behind the female holding the pitcher).
I also kind of dispute the notion that the planter is a “little boy” or the female with the pitcher is a “girl.” That “boy” is kneeling and the part of his left leg from the knee to the ground is at least the same height as Trump’s legs from knee to ground. And the “girl” with the pitcher should be described as a “young woman” given HER height relative to Trump (especially considering there IS a genuine “girl” in the picture in front of the presumably disabled Black veteran). And all the military presence is really disgusting given Trump’s complete lack of respect for the military (who seem to have forgotten the way he dared to compare his avoiding STDs with military service).

Trump avoided service by daddy allowing the MD ‘benefits’ living in his building. Bonespurs that the MD signed off on didn’t keep Trump out of sports. He shit all over gold star families. He didn’t pay homage to the heroes in Normandy because he would get his hair mussed in the rain. When someone gave him an unearned purple heart, he stupidly dishonors the medal by saying he always wanted one of those. Given my uncle was an original green beret, who went to Vietnam and was wounded, this one really pisses me off. He pulled support out of Chad, sent in a small force of unprotected soliders, getting the black solider from Florida killed. In a call, overheard by a black congresswoman from Florida, he dismissed the wife’s grief by brushing off her husband’s death, leaving her with fatherless children to raise. During the holidays, when many troops get time home, he sent them to the border to shore up all his lies about the border. He called people who serve suckers, just like sonny corleone, another gangster, albeit fictional. He sided time and again with our enemies in front of the world. He said the nazis killers in Virginia were “very fine people”. Yeah, the same people that killed 400,000 of our boys fighting in WW2, ultimately resulting in 70 million casualties. There are many other examples, and God only knows what all he said and done behind the scenes. Anyone, much less a person in uniform, who supports this child killing nazi is a nazi themselves, no matter what they fucking say or believe. Hitler had paintings done. I’m sure putin and other dictators have masturbated by having their images portrayed to promote their lying propaganda. This fucking painter is a nazi. Fact.
As a retired military person, I find this extremely offensive. Thank you for enumerating some of the reasons why.
Senator Duckworth from my home state of Illinois hung the perfect moniker on Trump – Cadet Bone Spurs. You’d think those in the GOP challenging Trump would take advantage of his Chicken Hawk ass and hammer him with the name every single day…
Oh wait! Of the declared and yet to declare but probably going to run EVERY SINGLE ONE is also a Chicken Hawk! That includes Pompeo as far as I’m concerned. Yes, he is a West Point grad but his five years weren’t when the First Gulf War went down. He had a background that would have made him useful in that war, and could easily have gotten himself posted to a unit that would be in the fighting. Instead he made goddamned sure he was nowhere near the action! Like Bush 43 (and Dan Quale before him) he fucking cos-played warrior. That’s what makes some Chicken Hawks stand out in their shameful behavior. It’s bad enough for those who never served in ANY capacity at all to talk the talk when they weren’t even willing to, like Bush 43 and Quayle Draft-Dodge by going into the Guard/Reserves which is EXACTLY what wrangling a slot was during Vietnam. (I still remember parties celebrating some older guys in my hometown who managed to get into the Guard) Don’t let ANYONE tell you younger folks different. Yes, things changed when the elder Bush decided Guard and Reserve units would take part in Dessert Storm and as we’ve seen in these last three decades that’s now how things are. But it was NOT the case during Vietnam because Westmoreland had no intention of the news coverage of small towns sending off a big chunk of their guys to that war in southeast Asia.
So no one in the GOP that might be able to mount a candidacy (and don’t exclude Nikkie Haley – women were serving in plenty of roles when she was the right age) can hit Trump with the Cadet Bone Spurs label. Too bad.
As for his insult to WWI veterans and my Marine Corps in particular on the 100th anniversary of the Armistice I’ve written plenty about that before – and refuse to feel the tiniest bit of respect for John Fucking Kelly for not stomping Trump into the ground. I was lucky when it came to combat, but my dad spent his life after WWII hiding the multitude of scars on his torso receieved during a bombing mission in that war. So some disphit giving Trump his Purple Heart and Trump’s reaction makes me sick too.
Someone in his cadre gins up shit like this and he approves it. That’s all. He doesn’t have the capacity to think things like this up. Then he gets called on it and backtracks. I really want this guy gone from the media.

We don’t really have to worry about Trump planting anything. Melania will come along fairly swiftly, later, and clear fell everything. Like the White House Rose Gardens.
Flattering his big supporters – I see Sheriff Clark behind him, that POS. And Mike Pence. He has Milley, but in civvies. (I don’t think Milley backs the former guy at all.)
And the fellow with what appears to be both hands covering his face? Overcome with emotion or just praying? Given the folded flags invoking military dead I vote ‘invocation’ of religion. High-level propaganda this.
