A short piece, for once, about Trump and his tone-deafness. This would be unbelievable, except it’s Trump. He has no consideration for anyone’s feelings except his own. So, while we are frantically looking for the other pilot, he’s making jokes. Our ‘president’ is a dementia-ridden imbecile, and we can’t stop him or even shut him up. And by the way, for a glorious takedown, please see Ursula’s piece where she talks about what France said. It’s beautiful. My compliments to Raw Story:
President Donald Trump joked about confiscating Iran’s oil as search crews were desperately trying to find a fighter pilot who was downed in the war-torn country. “KEEP THE OIL, ANYONE?” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday while the search was underway. Hours earlier, an F-15E crashed in southern Iran. One pilot was rescued, and a search for the second pilot was reportedly in progress.
JFC! He’s joking about OIL while we are looking for a person from our military, downed in his and Dumb McNamara Petey Boy’s war. We have no idea where the second pilot is, what condition he is in, or anything. We just know they were downed. Yes, we have one, so that’s a comfort, but we should be more than worried about the other pilot. We’re not exactly welcome in that country. And now they have pieces of one of our aircraft. They might not be able to do anything with it right away, but they have it. They also have plenty of armament left.
Iran was reportedly offering its citizens a reward valued at about $76,000 U.S. dollars to find the missing pilot alive, CNN reported. A second combat aircraft, an A-10 Warthog, crashed in the Persian Gulf at about the same time, officials told The New York Times.
That’s quite a reward in that country. And yes, I just found out the A-10 was also taken down by Iran. A-10s are tough. We lost one. This has been an embarrassing day for us. It feels like Israel isn’t doing much in this war, and we are the ones taking a beating. The war isn’t going well for us. What’s wrong with this picture? Now, remember, I do not have any actual military experience. I’m worried. And we may need to be more than worried about Iran taking our planes down. They are by no means down and out. What next?
See you soon!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

47’s mental illness – if that’s what one wants to call dementia (we all know about his narcissism) has gotten so much worse. He is clueless as to “normal.” He is so deep in his atrophying brain that he will eventually nuke Iran. Watch.
You mentioned nuking Iran in a previous comment which I just replied to, somewhat at length. We need to worry about this probability.
No, he absolutely does not know what normal is, if he ever did. I believe he is also considered a sociopath. I need to go back and re-read the piece put out by a number of psychiatrists/psychologists called “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump”. They hit the nail on the head and that was back before his first term when he was running for president! If you can track it down, it’s fascinating. I also had no trouble understanding it, even though I’m not trained in any of that.
I’m not the least bit surprised Trump doesn’t give a shit about missing pilots. Referring to John McCain he said he liked guys that didn’t get shot down. He thinks ANY of us who served or have done so are suckers and losers! Like Trump could absorb the training needed to fly a military jet. A couple of Naval Aviators from my hometown mentored me some. Including when I was trying to get into OCS. Drew flew f14-Tomcats and while by then Charlie who chose the Marines was flying CH-46 Seahawk Helicopters (and later on the tilt-rotor Osprey) he started out in A-4 Skyhawks. By the time he got into a squadron the decision had been made to phase them out. He dabbled with the idea of staying in jets and got some stick time in them but a friend in his class at flight school in Pensacola was a chopper pilot and he found flying them more enjoyable than jets.
My point is that both know about carrier landings, as of course did McCain. I laugh my ass off at the notion of Trump sitting backseat in a jet doing carrier quals. Each time a ship goes to sea after a stint in port everyone has to redo quals. A set of daytime “traps” and a set at nighttime. The first pass is always a “touch and go” where you don’t drop the tailhook – you advance to full throttle and burner as the wheels hit the deck and head back up into the air. Then you do a series of traps and by the end of the day portion the physical shock of that series of landings (which are basically controlled crashes) at 120 knots leaves you feeling like you’d been through a tough football game.
Trump would freak out just at the touch and go and after the first trap, even in daylight would beg and plead to be able to get the fuck out of the jet! He’s a coward. A pussy. Riding backseat he’d be screaming BINGO through the mic – it means divert to shore for a landing on a nice, stable runway without that jolt of going from 120 to zero in less than two seconds.
Even for Air Force aircrews flying combat missions take the kind of courage Trump has never had. Especially when a damaged plane has to get nursed back to base.
As for that A-10 going down in the water there’s no word on whether it was hit by enemy fire or developed a problem which I can see might happen the way we rushed into all this. It’s a rugged plane and relatively simple in design. Still it requires maintenance. It’s damned tough to shoot down and less than a handful have sustained enough damage they could be not just landed but repaired. There are a number of reasons they’re so hard to shoot down and I won’t bore everyone with them. However it’s possible and if Iran managed to do so it should worry the hell out of those running the war from the Pentagon. It would mean as I said in an article earlier today Iran held back a significant amount of it’s anti-air capability waiting for when we’d start using more standard air to ground attacks instead of hugely expensive precision guided missiles.
In sports terms our side got ‘out coached.’ That’s my takeaway from losing two aircraft in a single day.
Yes, I remember the shot down, as well as the suckers and losers. It still pisses me off. What tone deaf things to say!
Thank you so VERY much for all the military information! I will certainly defer to your much greater knowledge! Also, thanks for confirming the A-10. I would absolutely listen to your information on that plane.
Thank you a thousand times for all the military information. It’s great things to know!
