The problem with the Pandora’s box of unseriousness and disrespect for norms that Donald Trump unleashed in 2015 is that we can’t go back and undo the damage. The damage is done and now performative jackassery is baked into our political system. A pickle can never go back to being a cucumber and that’s where we are.

Trump loves the people who love him and nobody fits that bill better than J.R. Majewski, who is a House candidate in Ohio. If his name is ringing a bell, he’s the guy that painted his 19,000 square foot lawn into a Trump mural. I guess he was hoping it was visible from outer space. Maybe it is and alien races are laughing at him and at us.

Take a look at the latest Trump endorsee and then we’ll discuss his “politics.”

did a piece on May 20 about Majewski’s secessionist ideas which were in a video which was unearthed by CNN’s KFile and then Majewski deleted it, surprisingly. But I guess that’s better than publishing it as his manifesto and then going out and shooting a lot of Americans with an AR-15.

Here are a few highlights.

Majewski, who works in the nuclear industry and is an Air Force veteran, is already under scrutiny over his past promotion of the false QAnon conspiracy theory and his attendance at the January 6, 2020 “Stop the Steal” rally which preceded the Capitol riot. Majewski emerged victorious in a crowded Republican primary earlier this month and will face off against long-serving Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur in the newly drawn congressional district this November. The race is considered to be competitive and is likely to be a toss up.
“I was actually going to say,” Majewski said in a video on the livestreaming app Periscope. “I didn’t want to be a hype beast, but I’ve had it in my back pocket to say that every state that went red should secede from the United States.
“I don’t think it sounds out there,” he added. “Why should we go to this — the left, they’re f**king psychotic. I mean, it’s not, it is not out there brother. I mean, in my opinion, they’re beyond they’re, they’re — it’s irrational. They’re way of life is just crazy. To me, secession is not out there. It’s all about how you frame the dialogue though. You can’t just, you know, obviously you’re talking to me, different story, but the general population, you know, we have to break ’em in easy.”
Majewski appears to be responding to a commentator on his livestream who asked his thoughts on “literally splitting up and making our own country.”
The problem with this is that it’s not as cut and dried as it was in the times of the Civil War. We don’t have an actual line of demarcation that we can look at and say that divides the country. Every state in the Union has its rural and urban aspects, except for maybe someplace like New Jersey, which is small, and it simply isn’t going to be that easy to carve the place up.
It’s also pretty alarming that we even have to be contemplating a civil war over cultural differences. In the time of the Civil War there was an entire economic system at stake, due to slavery. We were discussing two ways of life in very tangible terms. Now what we have is two cultures at each other’s throats mainly because it profits right-wing media for that to be the case. And the rubes fall for the lies. Maybe Fox News and right-wing media is the new equivalent of slavery and they’ll do anything to see their economic system survive.
Ohio politics are getting very interesting, I’ll say that much.

  1. Works in the nuclear industry? WTF? In what capacity? Someone this fucking nuts shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a control room, or even in the building where the controls are located – or anywhere near the actual infrastructure that produces the power. I shudder at the very thought of someone this mentally unbalanced working in a place where accuracy and precision, as well as constant focus on the job is paramount.

If he does anything other than some way the fuck away from actual power production, say some administrative job then how the FUCK did he pass a psych eval? And if one isn’t now scheduled given what’s come to light why the fuck not?

    • Even the plant janitor works in the “nuclear industry”, just as the career stateside army cook is a vet, the same as the front line soldier.

It all boils down to the semantics. Sad really.

    • I.imagine he is Homer Simpson. But him.having to.do with anything involving nuclear power is scary. Chernobyl anyone?

  2. Now if the red states all secede, they do realise that they’ll have to fund themselves and, as things stand, it’s the BLUE stats the cash
