I have to ask because Trump went to New Hampshire to campaign this morning and register for the New Hampshire primary and he sounds exactly like Lindell when he claims to have amazing new evidence that the 2020 election was stolen — but you have to wait until next week, because he can’t tell you today.
Why’s that, since this is so earthshattering a development? A development that, if true, could topple the United States government, which would be a seismic geopolitical event, the biggest in history since the explosion of the atomic bomb? Because. Emmer is not liked in Trump world. Kari Lake senior advisor Caroline Wren trashed Emmer on Steve Bannon’s show, saying “he is Nancy Pelosi in a suit,” and “a vote for Tom Emmer is a vote for Jack Smith’s investigation,” according to Meidas Touch.
And it was not all love in New Hampshire.

Here’s the bottom line on Trump trashing Tom Emmer or anybody else.
I see people saying Trump’s endorsement for Speaker doesn’t matter because Jim Jordan lost. That isn’t the point. Trump’s endorsement cannot cannot get someone elected Speaker, but his opposition can prevent someone who would otherwise have the votes from getting 217.

Trump is under tremendous pressure right now due to his lawsuits. He’s putting all his eggs in the election basket, believing that he can save himself if he’s reelected. And who knows? Maybe he will declare martial law and round up all the judges and prosecutors he loathes and put them in Guantanamo. I’m sure that thoughts like these have crossed his mind.
Put next week on your calendar to see what Trump’s earthshaking evidence is. My guess is that it will be just like Lindell, a total nothingburger. But now he’s got the ball rolling. Now, just like Lindell, he’s under an onus to perform. He has to come up with something, which means the cultural narrative next week will become even more deranged.

He hasn’t gotten anything else (except his lawsuits) to get attention. “Trump files in New Hampshire” just isn’t enough fodder for the goons.

Seriously though, I suspect that next week when he gets tired of being asked about which day will be when he reveals all he will revert to form, and like “Infrastructure” or Health Care” plans he promised it will be coming “in a couple of weeks.” Because what’s REALLY going on is that his fundraising appeals to the MAGA goobers has started flagging. He figures that being Trump (instead of merely Lindell) he can trot this out periodically and get a quick infusion of cash in a fundraising pitch. That’s all this is, at least from my point of view – teeing up a new fundraising scheme.
