If you’re wondering whether the gears of government are actually turning, here is yet another sign that the clear answer is “no.” We have seen Marco Rubio don many hats. He’s not only the Secretary of State, he is the interim National Security Advisor. Next he’ll be the Lord High Poobah. You think I jest. But you won’t when you hear the latest. In an apparent effort to get revenge on Elon Musk, Donald Trump has appointed Sean Duffy as the interim director of NASA. Duffy can’t do his own job, as was seen when the planes were crashing into each other at National Airport months ago, (and he blamed Joe Biden’s “ancient equipment” like Kristi Noem did this week in Texas) but he’s going to be put in charge of the space program now. Eye eye eye eye eye. I don’t want to ask “what’s next?” I’m afraid of the answer.

You don’t need to be a mental health professional to know that this choice was made to drive Elon Musk up the wall. And on this occasion, Musk is right to be livid. Duffy is, to use Trump’s favorite word, “A disaster.”
Duffy’s tenure as Transportation Secretary has been mired by major aviation incidents. Since the beginning of 2025, at least 188 people had died in 60 aviation incidents as of May 6. The disasters marked a significant and unusual spike in deadly aviation accidents for the United States, as there hadn’t been a deadly incident involving a U.S. airliner since 2009.
Trump withdrew the nomination of Jared Isaacman to head NASA just days before Isaacman was expected to be confirmed by the Senate. The White House said the decision was made after a thorough review of prior associations. Trump also emphasized he needed a NASA leader who was in full alignment with his “America First” agenda. Isaacman had donated to Democrats in the past, reportedly playing a role in the decision.
Musk requested that his “close friend” Isaacman be given the NASA job, and he was reportedly upset when Trump rescinded his nomination, contributing to their public falling out.
That fact didn’t go unnoticed on Wednesday, with Wired reporter Jake Lahut noting the decision was a big win for someone else.
“Flurry of Truth Social posts from Trump, including Sean Duffy for … NASA administrator (I’m reading what you’re reading).Just so happens to be the position Elon’s guy lost out on, and marked victory for WH personnel dir. Sergio Gor over Musk,” he noted.
“Can you imagine being the Jared Isaacman dude — who at least has a bachelor’s degree in professional aeronautics and has actual experience with private spaceflight — and losing out to Sean Duffy. Only in America can you go from the Fox & Friends couch to the stars,” he added.
So what’s next? Satellites crashing into the International Space Station? I’m sure that a lot of countries of the world are wondering that very thing right now. And this could be the beginning of a Trump/Musk meltdown. Steve Bannon has been demanding that Trump cancel Musk’s government contracts. Maybe that’s what will happen next.
Everything Trump touches dies, Elon, even the richest man in the world.

but but but Trump says he’s only temporary!
For 2 weeks, mayhap??
One of these days they will kill a child or family member of someone who won’t look the other way, and will plot revenge. It is baffling they aren’t paranoid about that possibility.
