Kash has Krashed himself. Remember that case with The Atlantic? The one where Kash is trying to clear his name after a certain tell-all report came out? Yup, that one. Still going. He made a mistake, and it’s going to come back to bite him. Well, Kash never seems to be much of a thinker. With gratitude for Raw Story:
The Atlantic asked Judge Emmet Sullivan to toss the case and to pause discovery until he rules, arguing it could be decided on the pleadings alone. But Patel pushed to keep the case moving, which Popok argued is a gift because discovery is exactly what would hurt Patel most, with depositions under oath, imaged phones, and interviews with his own security detail.
Kash Krashed. That’s all sorts of information he isn’t going to want to be out in public, and now it will. All of that is coming. There are also emails, text messages, and documents. He made a huge mistake by keeping the case moving. The Atlantic has information available to present. They have multiple sources. It’s going to be extremely interesting when this case really starts.
Some of his behaviors are well documented. Taking the FBI plane to the Olympics and drinking with the men’s hockey team is just one example. We had reports back at the beginning of his tenure when he was running the FBI from by a pool in Las Vegas. We’ve had reports of protection for his girlfriend and of him taking the plane down to watch one of her concerts. Those are just a few easily confirmed examples.
But The Atlantic defamed him. No. How can you defame someone when it’s the truth? You can’t. With something like this, there’s not going to be anything published, whichever way, without documentation to back up what’s being said. This is not a gossip rag, after all. This is an institution. It was founded in November of 1857. Definitely not a gossip rag. Writer Ralph Waldo Emerson was one of the founding members.
This is not exactly political, but it is part of the Trump Second Administration. And what Trump’s ‘cabinet’ does reflect on Trump, although he’s making more than enough mistakes himself. He doesn’t need any help. And the Natalie rumors continue to fly. Enough already.
The Atlantic’s motion calls its allegations “inherently plausible,” citing more than two dozen sources, including claims that Patel’s detail once requested SWAT-style breaching equipment to reach him behind locked doors, and that he panicked when he wrongly believed he’d been fired. Patel denies all of it as a fabricated smear. The Atlantic noted it’s at least Patel’s fifth defamation suit against a news outlet, and he has yet to win one.
The man doesn’t know when to give up. He isn’t winning. He is costing himself the services of a lawyer. It probably would have faded out and away after a few days if Kash had just said, “I deny these allegations”, and left it alone. But no. Gotta sue. That’s going to keep this active a lot longer, and when discovery is presented? Is he going to try and sue again? Because it’s too bad for him. This is what he wanted. He’d best have a lot of clothes ready for all the time he’s going to have to spend in court. And since suing for defamation is right up Trump’s alley, Kash won’t get fired for it. We shall see what happens from here on out. The story is sure to show up again.
