Here she goes again, on her own … sometimes you have to sing. In this case, the particular song is rather appropriate. Someone is digging herself into a deeper hole, right next to Petey Hegseth. Still no sympathy for any of them. They deserve everything that hits them, every big or little thing, every person. From Raw Story:
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem gave an interview answer on Sunday that some experts and political observers determined was an “admission” warranting legal action. Noem appeared on NBC News over the weekend, where she was asked about how she reportedly rejected a court’s order. Kristin Welker asked, “The DOJ said that when the administration was ordered to stop sending detained migrants to a mega-prison in El Salvador, you personally made the final call to continue the flights anyway. Is that correct?” to which Noem replied, “The decisions that are made on deportations, where flights go or when they go, are my decision.”
Ding-ding-ding! She wins a rotten tomato prize! Does she not actually *think* about what she’s saying? That was a pretty strong, published, and public comment. My decision. This lady thinks she’s safe and can say whatever she wants! She’s going to get steamrolled into a greasy smear on that one. And we can make an almost sure bet that Judge Boasberg will hear about it. The more she opens her mouth, the more she does disgusting photo shoots, the worse she looks. All the Rolexes and tight shirts and hair extensions won’t make a damn bit of difference in prison.
Welker further pressed Noem, asking, “So you’re saying it was your decision. The judge wanted to ensure that people were given due process…Did you defy the court’s order?” Noem replied, “No. That’s one of the things we continue to face across the country are activist judges.” That interview caused ex-GOP insider Tim Miller to blurt out, “See you in court, secretary.”
Activist judges? What does *that* mean? SCOTUS is under Trump’s thumb, so don’t bother with them. Maybe she means judges who actually have morals and know the *law*. Maybe she means she has to use nonsense when courts slap her down. Good grief! We don’t know what she means. She apparently thinks Trump will protect her. Yea, that’s good until he throws her under the bus because you know, and I know, ETTD. That’s going to be an ugly surprise. We, on the other hand, will have a party and bring a banner that says “told you so!”
Home of the Brave chimed in, “Kristi Noem is making it abundantly clear that she will continue to defy court orders. She’s not even trying to claim otherwise!” //// Columnist Molly Jong-Fast simply quoted the apparent admission: “The decisions that are made on deportations, where flights go or when they go, are my decision.” //// Immigration expert Aaron Reichlin-Melnick also weighed in, saying on X on Sunday, “As Kristi Noem admits to making the decision not to turn the planes around, bear in mind that the Supreme Court unanimously agreed that the procedure to shove those men onto the plane to be imprisoned (and tortured) in El Salvador was a violation of due process.”
BOOM. Open mouth, insert (expensive) boot. There really isn’t a way to misinterpret that statement. (This goes very well with what she’s doing to FEMA.) We can hope it counts as evidence in court that she made this public statement. That’s contempt right there. So sad, too bad, bimbo. She should think before she speaks. She won’t. We will continue to watch this snowball roll downhill and gain speed. At least we can look forward to the midterm elections, even if it won’t help with Trump’s excuse for a cabinet.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Don’t you think Donold would pardon her?
