So on a positive note, Melania Trump made her way to a children’s border detention in Texas today to meet with some of the children being held indefinitely by the U.S. Border Patrol as part of the Child Separation Policy imposed by her husband. On the other side of that potentially good news, according to the Daily Mail, is her choice of wardrobe heading out to this visit. Her “Zara green hooded military spring jacket” read “I don’t really care, do you?” on the back.

Needless to say, this is sparking widespread discussion. Was it a thoughtless wardrobe pick, as Melania’s spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, claims? She said in a statement, “Today’s visit w the children in Texas impacted @flotus greatly. If media would spend their time & energy on her actions & efforts to help kids – rather than speculate & focus on her wardrobe – we could get so much accomplished on behalf of children.”
So, thanks for coming out but also thanks for not really giving a shit? As she so blatantly advertised…
