This is going to change things now that it’s out in public. Here’s hoping the Olympian who was brought up on a (false) felony charge of destruction can make use of it! It’s also potential help for other people who are trying to charge. Pirro is really pushing her luck, and she’s going to get slapped down for it. She’s already being questioned about the supposed felony and refuses to answer. Hmmm. Now, back to our favorite Reflecting Pool, courtesy of Raw Story:
U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum’s attempts to blame a sea of reflecting pool troubles on D.C. vandals instead of D.C. incompetence left one Republican sputtering. Michael Steele, the former chair of the Republican National Committee, took to X Sunday afternoon to share his views on a tense CNN interview that saw Burgum snapping at anchor Dana Bash. “I’m not sure why you and others and the media think you want to question the whole thing,” Burgum spat at Bash.
Mmmm, touchy, touchy! He’s being called on the carpet and getting busted. He tried to do the Trump thing of attacking instead of answering. It. Did. Not. Work. There’s a really good reason we are questioning it because Trump lies. Trump tries to blame the debacle on anyone but himself and the nepotistic, non-quoted, pool painting company. There were so many things wrong with this from the beginning, the least of which is how late it was started, compared to when it was supposed to be ready. It’s *still* a mess.
Steele replied, “We question Mr. Secretary because we know that ish (sic) did not happen.” Burgum snapped after facing repeated questions about the Trump administration’s failed $14 million effort to turn the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool “American flag blue.” Bash quizzed Burgum about a peeling liner that allowed algae to return and ruin the effect of a perfectly blue pool and requested details about claims that vandalism was to blame. “You’re a hundred percent sure that what happened with the liner was vandalism?” Bash asked. “You can prove it?”
Sneaky, sneaky question, there. Force Burgum to admit something he knows didn’t happen. Make him answer something he really does not want to answer. Watch him trip over his own words. Watch us enjoy seeing a member of Trump’s “administration” be taken down a peg or two or one hundred. The whole group goes downhill every day. Sheesh!
“You’re a hundred percent sure that what happened with the liner was vandalism?” Bash asked. “You can prove it?” “You know there are cameras on the Pool 24hrs (sic), right?” he wrote. “You do not have photographs of anyone submerging in the Reflecting Pool to cut a gash longer than a football field. But we do have video and photos of the liner peeling from the floor of the pool.” Then Steele made a request of Burgum. “Stop it,” he said. “As soon as you are asked to prove vandalism, you whine about why you are being questioned about it.”
WHAM. There is 24-7 monitoring on Trump’s pond … er, the Reflecting Pool. If anyone can get a hold of that video, somehow, some way, that’s going to *prove exactly* what happened. What do you want to bet Burgum didn’t know about it? What do you want to bet *Pirro* didn’t know about it? Please, please, please, let someone get that out. It will make one helluva difference if they can. Oh, will it ever!
See you soon!
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

This is what reporters need to be doing more often. Nicely done on their part.
I don’t know what kind of politician Burgum was before getting in with Trump, but he is now on his way to having his life destroyed by Trump. Trump is evil, he’s the devil personified. ETTD.
