Is political farce a genre? Because if it is, I know just the guy that should be the subject of a new play or movie. Kevin McCarthy. He can’t control his caucus. On any given day the extremist whack jobs in the House, i.e, Cawthorn, Greene, Boebart, Gosar are making negative headlines, and then, just when things had been quiet for a little while, he’s shown to be a bald faced liar by none other than Rachel Maddow. Maddow played the audio of McCarthy making the statements about Trump resigning which the New York Times reported he said and which he categorically denied.
That brought Matt Gaetz into the picture. We’re sure McCarthy needed this like a hole in the head.

And so you have it. Gaetz on one side of the Big Lie, along with the other extremist whack jobs, Cheney obviously on the other, and McCarthy, who was thinking straight at one point and then decided to go to the Dark Side, in the middle.
The interesting part here is maybe Matt Gaetz is looking to become speaker himself.
Whatever your life’s challenges may be, friends, give thanks you’re not Kevin McCarthy.

Gaetz is on his way to the hoosegow ahead of his colleagues, do not pass Go, do not collect $200. Child sex trafficking is one stain that doesn’t wash off a political career when it’s THIS public.
