Man. There are some mornings when the first story of the day flips your eyelids wide open and this is one of them. I haven’t even made a fresh pot of coffee and the cinnamon roll is just sitting there, because I need to bang this out. This is sicko.

Lindsey Graham, as you undoubtedly recall, used to be in his right mind. Lindsey Graham was BFFs with both John McCain and Joe Biden. He called Biden, “as fine a man as God ever made.” He called Donald Trump, a “race-baiting, xenophobic religious bigot.”

Then it all changed. Nobody and I mean no body could figure out why. Graham’s 180 shift to Trump was routinely compared to alien mind conversion. But now Graham comes out and says what happened. He loves Trump because he fears Trump, and that fear is thrilling. You can hear the sado-masochism drip.

I don’t know how much anybody here follows gay sex, but the fact of the matter is there are subcategories in what gay men seek out. (I say gay men because I have known far more gay men than lesbian woman so I can only speak of what I know.)

S&M, sado-masochism, BD, bondage and discipline, GS, golden showers, which is urinating on someone, are all subcategories of gay expression. And all this is in the straight world as well, I categorize it here as gay because my gay friends and I used to talk about it.

If Lindsey Graham likes being afraid, and he likes pain being inflicted on himself, he is certainly entitled to that in his bedroom. No argument. But to support a lunatic like Trump for public office, let alone the highest office in the land, with the commentary that it was pleasurable on some level to “be afraid” is sick, coming from a member of the U.S. Senate. It screams autocracy. No, I don’t miss one nanosecond of the Trump administration, which was an unqualified disaster from the inauguration speech to the departure on Air Force One, without going through the tradition of welcoming the Bidens to the White House or attending the swearing in of the new president. I miss none of it.

It’s an interesting revelation here. Graham is exalting Trump to the level of the “top” in an S&M relationship, the gay partner who can inflict the pain, and Graham is proclaiming himself the “bottom” not that that’s surprising. That’s the dynamic here. Graham Cracker likes to be afraid, he said so. “Don’t cross him.” That’s a direct quote. No, don’t cross the authoritarian Big Daddy who tells the Big Lie. An unstable autocratic personality like Trump’s may give Graham a hard on but hopefully the rest of us are wired in a bit more healthy fashion and we’d rather have somebody decent in office that you don’t need to fear.

But now we know what the alien mind conversion is all about. Graham likes fear. He likes pain. He’s into S&M. So yes, now it makes complete sense to me why Lindsey did a 180. I see it with clarity. Fear and pain. And pain is something you can depend on with Trump in office and that’s the turn on for Graham. The rest of us are horrified, but Graham’s got a hard on.

This is massively strange. But you won’t hear much about this, this morning and the rest of the weekend. You will hear about Uncle Joe falling when he got off his bike.

  1. Maybe it’s just me, but fear and pain seem contrary to faith and freedom. I guess if that’s what you’re into, they may not be contrary.

    • Fear and pain are absolutely contrary to faith and freedom. Unequivocally. Democracy is not about fearing the guy in charge.

    • Well, if y’all are going to take “faith” and “freedom” as a singular package, you’re completely missing the whole concept of this little meeting. The “faith” part is pure, unadulterated fundamentalist, evangelical Christianity and “fear” is most certainly part and parcel of the religious mindset. They demand that all bow down before a “fearsome” God and they thrive at the notion of “fearing” God. The “freedom” part is far different as this batch of “Christians” don’t really believe in the idea. Their whole idea of worship derives from the idea of pure enslavement. Their God is the “master”; He’s the literal “Lord” whose every word must be obeyed in all things. To them, “freedom” can only come with death. They may preach about “love” and “equality” (rarely) but such concepts ONLY come after death, when they’ll be in Heaven (oddly, they still persist in an idea that God will still be the “master” rather than a friend or equal). These “Christians” don’t want to be spiritual adults; they want a domineering “Father” to set rules and guidelines for them to obey (and to punish them when they get “out of line”).

As for “pain,” well, it’s not really fashionable but there used to be a strain of Christianity in which pain was a literal part of the worship service. They were known as the Flagellants and they would parade through the streets, usually stripped to the waist, and use various types of whips (including the cat-o-nine-tails) on themselves until they drew blood. The practice was intended as a rite of penitence and purification by Catholics in the Middle Ages (there are still groups that practice this, especially during the Holy Week) until the Church formally declared the practice to be heretical.

  2. The photo at the top says to me that Trump is berating Lindseed and threatening to use the kompromat he got from the Russians. Lindseed is cowering and if you’re right, with a boner.

    • I think I’m right. I am not a psychologist. Maybe we should ask Mary Trump’s opinion. But for Lindseed to say he “misses” being afraid is the tell that he’s wired for S&M. And many people besides you have said the same thing about that photo.

  3. As Hunter S Thompson once quipped, if there were any true justice in the world, leningrad linseypooh would be in the belly of a hammerhead shark headed south of Easter Island. He said it about our other criminal ex-president but it rings true for all these demons.

    • The sell out of Lindsey Graham is certainly one of the more interesting side shows of the Trump circus. I admit that it has baffled me, until this very day.

  4. It’s been a (very) long time but I once had a short relationship with a sub female. Dating in the DC area after my divorce was interesting to say the least! Now, even at a much earlier age due to my height I typically made an effort in my personal life and work/social situations not to appear imposing. I could (and did sometimes) however let the “imposing” look take over when called for. And for years post active duty I still was fit enough to be active in the Marine Reserves so yes, I could project a good deal of physical and other type of power if/when I chose to do so. Once she clued me in on her lifestyle preference and started introducing me into that scene I realized it wasn’t for me, nor was she. She wanted not exactly a 24/7 Dom but at least a Dom/Sub relationship that would include “play” several times a week. That just wasn’t my thing. Being a good Dom is a helluva lot of work, and I’ve always been a person with fairly simple tastes when it comes to sensual delights life has to offer between consenting adults.

Here’s the thing though. One thing I learned (and remember, this was in the DC area) is that most true subs, and a startling number of powerful men like to indulge themselves by having a mistress work them over for an hour or two. Sort of a break from the pressures of all the power and responsibility they held. (The same could be said of powerful women too although back then there were a lot less in positions of great power) There are of course varieties of Doms and Subs as well as great variances in how deeply either indulge in that lifestyle. But for true participants in BDSM it IS a lifestyle with a belief system and rules.

Would a Senator close to powerful people be tempted if they had submissive tendencies? Sure. And Graham was a hanger-on to a couple of very high level Senators & by extension a lot more powerful people. That gave him quite a bit of power of his own. At the same time, he always seemed to me more of a suitcase carrier. A wannabe hanger-on who didn’t really have what it took to be “The Man.” HIS thing was to attach himself like a Lamprey to a host and draw his sustenance that way. When it became apparent McCain was going to be dead soon, and Biden (being VP) was no longer a potential host he was lost.

So he latched on to Trump’s fat ass. Graham, for all his trappings of power and influence is a very weak person and frankly I believe he always has been. Unlike say Haldeman who used to say every person like Nixon needed a bastard and he was Nixon’s (and was tough as nails) Graham isn’t tough. He can only kiss ass/suck up. Fortunately for him, to Trump that’s THE key requirement to be in Trump’s circle.

But yes, he’s afraid of Trump. For one day, ONE he grew about a half of a testicle and even announced on the floor that he was done with Trump. Then people were mean to him at the airport and like the Lamprey he is he latched right back on to Trump! If Trump were to do the world a favor and keel over dead Graham would frantically search about for a new “host” to latch on to. Trouble (for him) is, there isn’t anyone out there that could sustain him. He probably fears Trump choking to death on a “hamberder” more than Trump’s evil spawn do!

  5. Everyone who fear The Big Orange ? little man.Our you’ll going to fear The One True God and Son Jesus Christ. You are trying to usher in the antichrist alone with Trump.
