Yes, seriously. We have an article interview that tells us *exactly* how it is, which shows just how bad it’s gotten. People are afraid and questioning their service because of Hegseth. We may lose more people from the military, which we desperately need. People read the news articles and watch television. What is coming out is almost urging people *not* to go into the military. Hegseth has completely induced a climate of terror. And we are overextended as it is.

During a Wednesday interview, Kaitlin Collins interviewed Frank Kendall about the military under Hegseth. Kendall said that Hegseth’s “witch hunt for people who are supposedly woke” and attack on dissent have frightened the ranks and diminished morale to the point where the military is struggling to operate. “In a word, it’s dysfunctional,” Kendall said, answering a question from Collins about his assessment of what’s happening in the military and Pentagon right now. “I’ve worked with and had a chance to work for maybe a dozen secretaries of defense. He’s doing active harm to the Department of Defense. It’s not passive. It’s active harm.”
We’ve been watching Petey Boy since his interviews with the Senate. He’s completely *unqualified* for the position. Then you start looking at all the changes he’s made and his lack of respect for women and men who are not white. The paranoia and lie detectors. Threatening people about the usual leaks. Keeping our people out on the ocean for months and ignoring the conditions on the boats (see the USS Lincoln). So many of us have been raging about that. We need to support our people, not mistreat them. It’s infuriating seeing the news about this and not being able to *do* anything, except write.
Kendall said that Hegseth’s “witch hunt” on woke “has a lot of people scared. Even in the first Trump administration, when emphasizing DEI was part of policy, people would make speeches about it, and now they’re being punished for that.” He described it as “a very tough climate to work in,” and added, “I am in touch with a lot of people. I just talked to someone recently who is in service and questioning whether they should remain in the service or not continue to serve their country because of the climate they’re working in.”

Silence. That’s what everyone in the military has to do. Silence is better than a demotion or a forced resignation, although that’s only a theory. Silence is better than humiliation. Because of Hegseth and his actions (testosterone, good grief), the majority of the regular people -but not necessarily those with a higher rank- could be gone. But he’s already forced generals out, so maybe it would be the entire military. We don’t know. Silence.
