How can you work for Trump and not learn from everyone’s mistakes? So many people blurt things out, then continue to flap their gums when they just dig themselves into a bigger hole? She said something that was wrong even for MAGA, and she’s going to pay for it for awhile, it seems. Many thanks to Raw Story:
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt scrambled Sunday to defend her recent comments attacking young Americans for being “raised with silver spoons in their mouths” and “getting everything handed to them,” but in doing so, only exacerbated MAGA’s outrage. Speaking with Fox News’ Jesse Watters last week, Leavitt claimed that young Americans were suffering from “laziness” and characterized them as entitled. The remarks sparked outrage among critics across the political spectrum, many of whom noted Leavitt’s ascent to wealth as being connected to her marriage to millionaire real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, 32 years her senior.
Good going, girlie. She managed to get everyone pissed at her. That’s quite an accomplishment. No idea how she thought that young Americans had everything handed to them, especially with the current state of the country. Among the people I know, which isn’t many these days (who aren’t online, but I count everyone on Pz except Mark the Troll as a friend), *everyone* works. Everyone does what they can do. There’s no silver spoon, and there never was.
On Sunday, Leavitt lashed out at critics as “bad faith actors” in a 404-word social media post and claimed her remarks were taken “out of context.” Her response did not go over well with right-wing critics. “No one is reading all that. And you didn’t write it,” wrote A.J. Delgado, a former senior adviser to President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, in a social media post on X.
Zing! She didn’t write it. Heh. Well, if she had kept her mouth shut on that, she wouldn’t be in so much trouble with everyone. We have no pity, no sympathy for her. It’s amazing how ignorant she is. And how unintelligent. That seems to have been a required characteristic to be a member of Trump’s administration. The only one that seems to have a brain of any sort is Rubio.
Kyle Seraphin, a conservative podcaster and former FBI agent, quipped in response, “If you are explaining, you are losing.” //// Leavitt’s remarks even caught criticism from a self-proclaimed “pro-white nationalist” writer, who referred to Leavitt as “some boomer’s trophy wife.” //// Leavitt also received scrutiny from other figures in the conservative media space. //// “Karoline Leavitt thinks Gen Z just needs to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and marry a 60-year-old New Hampshire real estate developer/resort landlord who you meet during your failed congressional run,” wrote journalist Patrick Howley in a social media post on X to his more than 96,000 followers. “Stop whining. Start Dining!”
Holy cow, did not know about the age difference. He’s obviously in good shape *snerk*. Now, there is nothing wrong with an age difference in a marriage. Yes, I know. If you are happy with your partner and things work well, then it just doesn’t matter. It really doesn’t. But KKKaroline is blatantly prejudiced, and we now all know it. That means no chance of sympathy. We can continue to watch, and shake our heads, and wait for the next blunder.
See you tomorrow!
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

KKKaroline’s attack on those “young Americans” is really absurd, given the number of “young Americans” who voted FOR her boss in 2024 and who make up a sizable number of the influencers/grifters spewing her and her boss’s lies–right up to the point that they get turned on. Like being called “lazy” and “entitled” by a woman with no obvious talent or skill (beyond landing a rich guy to take care of her–kind of like the current “First Lady”).
