Well, it looks like there’s no chance in hell that Trump can discredit Bob Woodward and his new book given the accuracy of his past reporting and his famous “fly on the wall” technique…
Rick Wilson, a Republican political strategist, had this to say:
When I was a young aide in the DOD, Bob Woodward was working on "The Commanders." Look up "Mike Dugan" and Woodward. I've seen this UP CLOSE.
Imma tell you something; unlike some people, he records these interviews. He grinds and grinds and grinds.
Prepare for a WH purge.

Paul Begala, CNN political contributor, Counselor to the President in Clinton White House, and also a Republican said:
24 years ago, Woodward quoted me in his Clinton book saying all kinds of profane and rude things. Why? Maybe because he’s a Republican. Or maybe because:. I. Said. Them.
— Paul Begala (@PaulBegala) September 4, 2018
Former White House Press Secretary, Ari Fleischer, YET ANOTHER REPUBLICAN said this:
I've been on the receiving end of a Bob Woodward book. There were quotes in it I didn't like. But never once – never – did I think Woodward made it up. Anonymous sources have looser lips and may take liberties. But Woodward always plays is straight. Someone told it to him.

Dan Rather who has a decades-long track record of accurate and influential reporting predicts that Woodward’s book will start something huge.
One has the sense that Bob Woodward’s new book has lit a fuse that will soon explode into presidential pyrotechnics of a size and scope that will make a Fourth of July spectacular seem like a kid holding a sparkler.

And despite there being audio, reported by The Washington Post, Trump is trying to deny that he ever received a message from Woodward, and according to the Post, Trump called Woodward in early August, after the manuscript had been completed, to say he wanted to participate. GO HERE to listen to the audio recording.
AND despite the overwhelming support and Woodward’s credibility, even from his own political party, Trump is trying to discredit him. Because, as usual, proof never gets in the way of ‘ol 45. Here he is this morning, continuing to churn the lies, trying to alter the discourse in his favor.
Isn’t it a shame that someone can write an article or book, totally make up stories and form a picture of a person that is literally the exact opposite of the fact, and get away with it without retribution or cost. Don’t know why Washington politicians don’t change libel laws?

Here’s how Trump’s statement SHOULD read:
Isn’t it a shame that a narcissistic unqualified vindictive asshole can post tweets daily, totally make up stories and form a picture of everyone who is against him that is literally the exact opposite of the fact and get away with it without retribution or cost EXCEPT FOR THE HUGE COST TO SOCIETY WHICH MAY NEVER RECOVER FROM HIS TYRRANY/IDIOCY!! Don’t know why Washington politicians don’t impeach him?
Better.

Trump’s end is near.
From your mouth to God’s ear.
I’ll be ecstatic to see the Orange Treasonous Toddler leave the White House and take his lying, criminal allies with him.
“Totally made up stories”, I do not think so Donald. You are going down holding tight to your lies.
