Just a few days after Renee Good was killed, ICE agents are letting it all hang out, especially the attitude. They didn’t see anything happen to Renee’s killer, so now they feel they can do what they want. This is unbelievable. It’s also frightening. With thanks to Raw Story:
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Minneapolis appeared to threaten the life of a man who claimed he was trying to get home Sunday. According to WGTC, the agents referenced the lesson that was given to Renee Good when she was shot to death by an ICE officer. A video posted to Reddit showed two ICE agents confronting the man on Sunday while he was in his vehicle.
They were facing off against the driver who was trying to get home. How petty can you be? There are a number of things that could be done while in a car to someone who made you angry, honking, high beam lights, tailgating, but for following them? Really? Good grief, how low can you go? You encounter all sorts of petty people who try to keep themselves above you so they can feel important, but this? Puh-lease.
“Sir! This is a warning!” the agent yelled as he punched the man’s vehicle window. “Stop f—king following us! You are impeding operations! This is the United States federal government!” //// “I live over here,” the driver explained. “I got to get to my house. //// “This is your warning!” the officer exclaimed. “I serve the Lord; go to church,” the resident replied. //// “I will arrest you!” the officer threatened. //// “Don’t make a bad decision,” another agent warned. //// “I serve the Lord,” the driver repeated. “Not a draft-dodging coward.”
Draft-dodging coward. Ahahahahahaha sweet! That’s a saying worth keeping around and touche’ to the driver who said that. We can wonder if it took those officers aback even a tiny bit, because that’s a *perfect* description of Trump. It’s about the only thing that’s entertaining in this story, because overall it’s just mindboggling. And, well, it doesn’t get better from here.
“Let these people go to church,” the driver added. “Let these people serve the Lord and worship.” //// “You’re not going to like the outcome of this, sir,” the first officer said. “I guarantee that… Did you not learn from what just happened [when Renee Good was killed]?” //// “Learn what?” the driver asked. “I serve the Lord, not a draft-dodging coward. I can’t believe you’d take orders from a draft dodger.” //// “Make America safe again, brother,” one of the officers quipped. //// “Always,” the driver agreed.
“Did you not learn”. How much more blatant could it have been? The gloves are off, thrown away, and burned. It feels like we’re about to be in a war in our own country. That makes my spine shrivel. It feels like nowhere is safe anymore, not even in your own dwelling. But the protestors didn’t let that stop them. They went out in huge numbers. Action is better than fear. We just have to get out there. We just have to show ICE we are NOT afraid of them, even if we are quivering inside. Again, YOUnited we stand. ICE Out.
