This is sheer MAGA brilliance. Next to making Mike Johnson Speaker of the House, this is the best MAGA notion in weeks. You need a little backstory to fully appreciate this situation. Vivek Ramaswamy doesn’t like Ronna McDaniel. Or, he was in desperate need of a headline and attacking McDaniel on the debate stage, which he did Wednesday night, was the best that he could come up with off the top of his head.
Ramaswamy blamed the GOP’s losing streak on McDaniel — not on the 300-pound orange elephant in the room, upon whose shoulders the losing squarely lies, and on the shoulders of the Republicans who support him (which is all of them, it’s only a question of degree) but on McDaniel. So that crack from the stage led to this.
Charlie is right – Vivek is PERFECT for that role.
His nickname can be "The Nail" referencing the final nail in the GOP's coffin…

Early in the two-hour debate in Miami, Ramaswamy — who has branded himself as a political outsider — lashed out at the chair of his party, expressing frustration the party got “trounced” during the elections held the previous day.
“We’ve become a party of losers at the end of the day,” Ramaswamy said.
“Since Ronna McDaniel took over as chairwoman of the RNC in 2017, we have lost 2018, 2020, 2022, no red wave, that never came. We got trounced last night in 2023,” he said.
The 38-year-old presidential hopeful then spoke from his podium directly to McDaniel, offering up that he’d yield his time for her to “come on stage” and announce her resignation.
Afterward, McDaniel hit back that Ramaswamy “needs a headline” to make up for low polling as the Republican White House hopefuls head toward the fourth debate, which will require the candidates to meet even higher polling and donor requirements to qualify.
Strategists were split on which of the third-debate contenders would make the next cutoff.
The problem with infighting during a primary is that when the primary is over and the actual election occurs, the opposing party is left with fodder for attack ads. Not that the Democrats are in need of attack ad material. Of that, there is an abundance. But it still is not a good look to have a rookie newcomer to the party, like Ramaswamy, attack the old school fundraising machine.
And maybe that’s the purpose of Ramaswamy’s attack. Maybe he truly wants to tear the GOP down to its last brick. Part of me wants to say, “Good! Let’s wish him Godspeed in that endeavor.” And another part of me says, “It takes two functioning political parties to make a democracy.” Ramaswamy is another suicide bombers. That’s what we’ve got in this day and age, few public servants, lots of crazies and suicide bombers.
I think that the sooner Ramaswamy is off the political radar, the healthier the culture will be.

I can’t see the racist GOP electing a new chairman with that much melanin in his skin, and such a ‘foreign’ name.
“Hare Krishna, Hare Rama, Hare Swami….”
Well, the last time they chose a chair with that much melanin, they didn’t keep him more than 1 term despite his actually having a decent run. That was Michael Steele who oversaw the 2009-2010 cycle in which the GOP broke fundraising records (nearly $200 million for the 2010 Congressional races) and managed to retake the House with 63 seats (a gain not seen since 1938) as well as picking up 6 Senate seats, regaining 7 governorships. But, that wasn’t good enough for the GOP. No sirree. They went and elected Reince Priebus whose first election cycle saw Obama remain President, a loss of 8 seats in the House (not nearly enough to lose the House) and a loss of 2 Senate seats.
And another part of me says, “It takes two functioning political parties to make a democracy.”
Why?
Serious question and I’ve asked it before.
About great & even better instead of very good and batsh*t crazy?
“he understands data.” other than polls, apparently.
