Every time the question of inflation or the economy comes up, Donald Trump and his sycophants lash back with, “It’s Biden’s fault.” But unfortunately it’s getting a bit on in the game here, over 25% of Trump’s second term, and if this was football no coach would be blaming last week’s opponents. So the GOP may have to be hit and hit hard in order to wake up. Today’s wake up call comes from Harry Enten at CNN, who lets it be known that the Senate may be in play. The House has been in play for some time with the Senate only being whispered of. Now the whispers are getting louder.
This is Trump’s doing and he knows that it’s getting time to pay the piper. That’s why you’re seeing all the alarmist articles about how Trump is trying to steal the election. Be ever vigilant, I say, and also realize that the states are responsible for elections.
Plus, John Thune has already let it be known that it is too late for any law amounting to a poll tax to be enacted between now and November. I’m referring to IDs and passports which cost money to obtain and which would effectively act as a poll tax if demanded to be produced at the polls.
Trump will be screwed when the House switches hands but if the House and Senate both flip, he will be dead in the water. Concentrate on getting people out to the polls this November.

They named this lame duck President after the wrong cartoon duck.
He shouldn’t be named Donald.
He should be named Daffy.
Maybe Howard? Remember that epically disastrous movie Howard the Duck? Everyone associated with it wishes it could be scrubbed from ever having existed. It’s high on the short list of the worst movies ever made. Just like the Trump admin is at the top of the list of the worst ever. History is going to judge this country harshly that Trump ever even won a single state in the primaries during his first run, much less the nomination and via the vestigial organ known as the Electoral College the WH. Harsh as the judgement will be for THAT, it will be harsher than he got another term. Perhaps by the time historians weigh in the f-word will be accepted enough that every one of them will in their forward to their book include “What the FUCK possessed enough Americans to vote for this guy that he actually became President?”
We can’t prevent that, but what we CAN do starting right now and through November get enough people engaged to give the GOP a thorough ass whupping and gain control of both the House and the Senate. And then not just block more damage but get right to work unfucking some of the damage Trump has done.
“But unfortunately it’s getting a bit on in the game here, over 25% of Trump’s second term, and if this was football no coach would be blaming last week’s opponents.”
Well, Ursula, that’s probably not a good analogy. NO football coach would EVER get away with blaming their opponents for a loss–never. Not by the fans, not by the press. Then again, I’m not really aware of any coach who *publicly* blames his team for the loss–you never hear the coach saying things like, “My guys just sucked this week. They didn’t commit and give 1000% and they refused to keep focus” in public. Now, in private, the team might hear those rants but never in public. (And, at the collegiate level, the team will largely have to suffer in private but at the pro level, team members–especially a big name along the Tom Brady level or, maybe currently, the Josh Allen or Travis Kelce level–might engage in some push back with “Coach refused to listen to our concerns about certain plays against that team” but a team with few to no “name” players probably would also deal with private suffering.) No, when a team loses, the losing side are generally good sports about it: “They just outplayed us this week” and “They had better strategies” and MAYBE there might be a little “We let last week’s surprise win go to our heads.”
And IF a coach or a team tried to blame last week’s opponent for this week’s loss (aside from that last hypothetical post-game “why we lost” explanation), there is not a single football fan who would let that go without a reaction. And since pretty much every team is on social media, you can be sure that social media feed would be blowing up with really scathing responses (and more than a few would contain calls for the coach’s firing). Then, there’s the press. The sporting press is NOT busy fellating Drumpf or kissing his oversized ass and even if their owners are, that’s not going to keep the press from DESTROYING any coach or any team that tried to blame their current loss on last week’s opponent. In fact, that coach/team would be the laughingstock of the week. A responsible sports’ press would probably give the coach/team a chance to dig themselves out of the hole but the main point is that such a comment would NEVER go unchecked.
Unfortunately, Drumpf’s cult followers will believe anything that fat piece of fecal matter will say (even if he said the exact opposite yesterday and they’re shown evidence of that earlier contradiction) and Drumpf has cowed all the mainstream media primarily by co-opting all the billionaire owners who would prefer giving Drumpf millions to keep him happy rather than spend millions fighting him and his illegal actions in court.
